@dhh The problem with data center public perception is their electricity bills have gone way up in recent years, especially here in the northeast, and they’re getting political mailers in the mail - HUGE part of NJ Gov last year, telling them AI is why their bills are high.

@dhh I work for the world’s largest data center REIT. This is not the problem. The problem is people are assuming their electricity bill increases are because of data centers. People don’t care how they look because they’re out in Secaucus boon land. People are scapegoating $$$.

This is how we turn public opinion around on data centers. Make them as beautiful as temples of the past. Give them aesthetic appeal worthy of the silicon miracles performed inside.

If you think your only power is voting instead of “hey, we voted you in, you’re proposing this BS policy you didn’t run on, what gives?” Or “this policy hurts taxpayers, address this or we won’t x” The system should be more localized and work much closer to this than holding your nose and going into a voting booth every few years.
