Does anyone else have a couch blanket? Like a blanket that stays on your couch that you use when relaxing or is it just me?

Leo the idea that some men aren’t “manly” enough to be “real men” is definitely not new to western culture. “Third gender” has nothing to do with science and everything to do with sexism and homophobia. Which you are apparently celebrating. There is a certain type of gay man that’s all too happy to boot “feminine” men out of manhood so they can point and say “no no I’m a real man even though I’m gay. It’s those other men that aren’t like us” Don’t be that guy Leo. All men are equally men. Man isn’t a performance or an identity. Third genders are regressive and sexist.
Leo Varadkar@LeoVaradkar

Nepal has elected its first trans Member of Parliament. Like other Asian countries, Nepal recognises a third gender for people who do not fit neatly into male/man or female/women. The idea that gender can be fluid or non-binary is not a new or western idea. It has been around for millennia and exists in many cultures

@Docstockk Abortion without limits is encouraged by: 1. Men who want another reason to have total access to women's bodies. 2. Trans activists who like to use the 'my body, my right' argument for free access to 'gender affirming' surgery & medicine.

Interesting how some women who valiantly fought gender wars now using same tropes beloved of transactivists to defend decriminalisation of late term abortion. - AS IF there will be thousands of sinister men who want to predate in changing rooms/ women lining up to get rid of their babies! (there won't be, but still need legal deterrent for the few, especially with pills-by-post in the mix). - AS IF anyone would do that if they were not totally desperate/ in danger/ traumatised etc! (fact check: there are lots of different motivations, humans are diverse. Check out the stories of actual matricide! The idealisation of 50% of the population is stupid wherever you find it ). - It is MY RIGHT to do what I want to my body, regardless of consquences for others ( how is that not just abject narcissism and selfishness? We aren't living in the 18th Century. Every possible form of contraception was already available. How can it be ok to prefer to try and get rid of a later term baby - especially when you have to go through labour either way - rather than deliver it for adoption?). Starting to wonder where transactivists got this stuff from🧐

I've never noticed when looking at photos that British people don't have mailboxes in front of their houses. So does every house have a mail slot in the door, even if you live out in the country? Are all of the mail carriers on foot, or do they just get out of the truck and walk up to every house in the country? I can't sleep until I know how this works.

@DandyDuck118582 @jan_murray Good for you but they are often the only type available & many people prefer them. It's not your business to tell women what they can do inside their own spaces.

@BioAndy2 @jan_murray I sure do. And guess what, I do not use open plan changing rooms because I'm not comfortable undressing in front of any strangers.

I was trying to explain to someone yesterday why women defend single-sex spaces. “Imagine you were forced into an enclosed space with a strange man and told to take your top off in front of him. No choice. No opting out.” “That’s different,” they said. “That’s basically sexual assault.” “Exactly,” I replied. “Now imagine the man is wearing women’s clothes - but you still know he’s a man.” You could literally see the penny drop. This is the grown-up version of being plied with cider at a party, shoved into a cupboard with a boy - then being told you’re frigid if you don’t do what he wants. Only now, frigid has been replaced with bigot.

@BioAndy2 @se13kie @TomOHanlon17 The normans took half the country then lost a lot of that or went native by the 1500s. The period had a name and all, the Gaelic resurgence. As for colonisation, the englosh didn't attempt to colonise the country until the concept of plantations began in the mid 1500s. Clueless.

@BioAndy2 @se13kie @TomOHanlon17 Lolz, you're telling me the "british" took over and colonised the country from 1169 and lecturing me on nuance. God help your imaginary students.

For the better part of a decade, trans activists had unprecedented political capital & could have cashed it in to accommodate 3rd, 4th or even 5th spaces. Anything to keep them happy. But they didn’t. Because the entire goal was to get men into women’s spaces & women to shut up.

@OHaraSenan @se13kie @TomOHanlon17 The British didn't exist in 1169 so they didn't. The English did. Why are you, an uneducated American still talking about Irish history, a topic you clearly don't understand?

I asked Adam - a former Indy journalist- why he supported girls being punched by boys in a boxing club. After a rather protracted and amusing (well, to me anyway) exchange, this was the best he could come up with.

“Third gender” is a workaround for too-girly boys in homophobic cultures. Western gender loons celebrate it because it gives legitimacy to straight knickermen to flaunt their paraphilia in public.

@CCavanman @kathrynosulli13 @Cammac03433195 @gardainfo It's the deliberate queering of attitudes towards children. It's being hard planted into school curriculums worldwide. There has been a decades-long strategy behind this, it's no error. See Yogagharta, Dentons, Drag Queen reading hour... it's very deliberate. Really, no tin hats!
