Any @cibc customers out there who have had their accounts hacked and funds stolen from them? How long did it take @cibc to investigate? It’s now been over 10 months for me and no answers from them. I’m missing over 10K and they don’t seem concerned at all.

Does @cibc just make up a last name “No last name” when other canadian banks would use your first name as you last . What kind of name policy is that making new identity for a person and no branch is helping with this concern Is my only solution left is to stop dealing with Cibc

@cibc It’s been a really frustrating. More than anything, it made us realize how little transparency there can be, even in long-standing relationships like this. Only takeaway from this is don’t rely entirely on one bank. No matter how solid things seem, it’s worth having options.

@cibc After 18 years with CIBC, we’re devastated. Our family of 4 perfect credit, multiple mortgages, never a missed payment had ALL accounts suddenly closed with no explanation. We trusted them since arriving in Canada in 2007. Client care gave no answers, just “final decision.

So now @cibc is deciding what we CAN AND CAN'T spend OUR money on. My visa was blocked for "security" a certain vendor can't be purchased from as it's high risk, until I go into a branch. So, going into a branch makes them less of a risk how? Communist Canada around the corner.

Having a really horrific experience with @cibc The staff is very helpful and great, but the processes at CIBC are pre historic and not well thought through. You dispute a transaction and it automatically triggers a card cancellation. You lose access to the app as well.
