@TheFullKitC @usmntonly And I do agree that the MLS is a poor product over all. If we could replicate the Spanish Leagues here that would be ideal
English

@CShredwards @usmntonly Don’t think anyone likes the flopping. I agree. They have rules and regulations to get rid of it…they just need to enforce said rules consistently. And harshly.

Mauricio Pochettino said that ‘American sports reward losers’ when asked about the style of play in top European nations vs. in the U.S. 😯🇺🇸
QUESTION: “We know how England, France, Spain play… Players from countries with a strong tradition have a recognizable style. What is the style of the US team? What kind of football do the Americans want to play?”
ANSWER: “Their culture is playful. They want to play. We told them, “Guys, playing soccer is one thing, competing is another.” They’re two completely different sports. They grow up in a culture of playing. Why? If you start in MLS and you haven’t won a game in three months and you’re at the bottom, what’s the consequence if there’s no promotion or relegation, no international competition? American sports reward losers! But soccer is different: if you reward those who don’t win… If you don’t have goals, you don’t fight. If I lose, what happens? Nothing. They just fire the coach. Also, the American player is disciplined. But with a sense of complacency that isn’t good in soccer. It took us a year and a half to change that mentality.”

Probably the best group of youngsters in a long time for Boston.
Jonathan Morello is an energizer bunny.
Cooper Simpson can fly.
Big Dean is the Terminator.
Zellers shoots lasers.
Groenewold’s dad is Nikolas Kronwall.
Blanar is poetry on ice.
Pettersson is smooth like butter.
Moore nursing a hangnail.

@TheFullKitC @usmntonly Americans don't like flopping in sports. Plain and simple. Remove that from the game and up the scoring/talent and it can work here
English

Disagree. There are millions of soccer fans in this country, and its growth has been pretty substantial over the last 2 decades. If you built a product that was anywhere near good quality, the sport would absolutely work.
I’ll have MLS fans come here and attack me for saying this: But that’s the truth. MLS and it’s current setup are a massive hindrance to the overall success of the sport, especially with those fans who aren’t of the MLS hipster variety.
English

@TheFullKitC @usmntonly I mean there's barely any money or fans for it here so it seems like a by product of a not popular product
English

@usmntonly He’s absolutely spot on in regards to the USA’s professional sports culture. Especially in regards to soccer.
English

@FIFAWorldCup And then next match he lets it in 5 times
It's always like this vs my teams
Goalkeepers have a once in a lifetime, and then next match they revert back to their default (shit) settings
English

Friendly reminder that Don Sweeney and Cam Neely have spent the last decade stuffing the ‘blue-collar’ blueprint down your throat — built around reclamation projects, bombed drafts, and the inability to develop their own prospects
All while blowing right through the careers of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, David Krejci, Tuukka Rask, and Zdeno Chara…
If they’re not careful, Pastrnak, Swayman, and McAvoy are next.

@NKnigga420 @ObstructedView @FOXSoccer Oh 100% they were the most favorited to win this year. Was very surprising what happened today. All credit to Cape Verde
English

@CShredwards @ObstructedView @FOXSoccer oh shi, my fault i don't watch soccer. spain is still a top team tho.
English

@ObstructedView @FOXSoccer i found it enjoyable a team making their debut in the world cup drawing the reigning champion while being pressured for 95 minutes, that's something special.

@ManagerTactical The Spaniards managed to hold on for a 0-0 against Cape Verde.
English

@DuckboatSports @TfortierTyler @BruinsNetwork Adin Hill also won a championship on a cheap contract as well.

Tuukka Rask and his career .925 save percentage in the playoffs is far from the reason the Bruins didn’t win a cup in 2013 and 2019. Both years he carried them to the end. I get your point though…a random goalie making the league minimum had a good 3.5 game stretch so let’s just throw out all data that supports the idea that elite goalies help win championships.
English

Bussi was significantly outperformed by DiPietro their last year in Providence and he had the same .895 Sv% as Korpisalo except on a contender. Should have gotten a shot, but was unremarkable in the 2024 preseason. I’ll be more upset if DiPietro doesn’t get a look now. #NHLBruins

Hey, @NHLBruins, @BruinsNetwork, and #bruinsnation, aren’t we so glad we let @brandonbussi33 go to keep Michael DiPietro & Korpisalo?! Great call. #firesweeneyalready

@EveythingIsJoke @charlieINTEL They're getting rid of the rot of the company that destroyed them. This is good news
English

@charlieINTEL Xbox is falling apart. Xbox fans keep telling me otherwise though.
English

@TfortierTyler @DuckboatSports @BruinsNetwork They lost because Eichel and Marner went ghost the last 3 games
English

@DuckboatSports @CShredwards @BruinsNetwork We just watched a team lose the Stanley Cup because their goalie sucked and their coach is a dip shit
English

@DuckboatSports @TfortierTyler @BruinsNetwork How many cups did "the king" Lundquist win? How about Tuuka Rask?
English

@CShredwards @TfortierTyler @BruinsNetwork So you’re saying put goalies in net that are basically lottery tickets so you can have more money to spend on free agents? For every team that has ever worked for there are 10 teams that crashed and burned because they didn’t have a real goalie in net.
English

@popokarpingle @worldhockeyrpt @kewi75 He hasn't had 90 points in three years. He also scored a measly 26 goals in his last full season. Hes not even a talented goal scorer. 42 goals his highest he's ever had in a season and that was an outlier in his data set
English

@CShredwards @worldhockeyrpt @kewi75 90 point pace and good defense while dealing with injuries means he's "not that guy anymore" lmao?? Over a ppg in the playoffs with 2 cups and 3 appearances to his name. Superstar when healthy
English

@bromtheB @BruinsNetwork Hall should have been a long time member of our top 6 forwards and his body of work shows it. Maybe this wouldn't be a combo if Sweeny could draft literally anyone above AHL level
English

@CShredwards @BruinsNetwork We weren’t closer to winning a cup once Bergeron and Krecjinwere done, so that trade is whatever…. What I WILL say, is they absolutely have to trade Korpisalo now. DiPietro has proven he will be a more than capable backup to Swayman.
