I don't know if, when or why Grenfell and the building safety scandal will 'break through' in the way the Post Office Scandal has. But I'm confident if it does the reaction will be similar. There is such a common reaction of outrage when people hear the details for the first time
My pal @stephpike_ has just been told the top floor of her 6 story building has to be demolished and rebuilt because it's so badly thrown together and so unsafe. What a mess building in this country is in. #BuildingSafetyCrisis
Forgive me, Cladding Twitter, I’m having a ‘moment’. This whole ridiculous scenario will end, won’t it? I’m really struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m one of the ‘lucky’ ones as remediation will be funded. Really struggling currently.
Slightly different one… Anyone live in a flat with cladding? Is your Freeholder charging you to have it inspected? Mine is and it’s expensive. Wondering if there’s any recourse, because if the cladding is dangerous and needs to be removed, will we be charged for that too?
