Once again the mediocrity of our elites is apparent. A guy who basically took over a fourth rate car company and made it so it produces the least shitty car any American company makes using heavy government subsidies (and then pulled up the ladder on those subsides).

US population density when you look at it as a whole nation is diluted by massive mountain ranges big deserts huge tracts of farmland etc that don't apply
New York state, and France have comparable density, and the same dynamic applies

So Europe is roughly 3x more densely populated than the US.
Even NYC is only 10,000/km² and Boston is 6000/km² while Paris is 20,000/km² and Barcelona is 16,000/km².

Why is it so hard for Americans to understand we simply DON’T HAVE SPACE in Europe??
American large homes are a function of space availability. Even poor people in the US live in large houses on huge properties because they are cheap.
Check and compare our population density to the US ffs. Large homes like this exist in Europe but they cost 5x-7x what they cost in the US so of course only the ultra rich can afford them.
