@AlexTaller2 @ChurchillPath I was stationed there for 4 years. They hate black and Chinese people. I agree they don't express it rudely or publicly, but Japan is one of the most racist countries

@aliciadawnnnnn Weird stats with players reaching long term deals after the tag. From 2021-2023, only 46% stayed with that team. Then 88% resigned in 2024, and 75% did from 2023-2025. I think he might leave tho. The Cowboys cap situation is not good

@ZPSteelers2 Most of the league rosters 2. If Rogers doesn't come back, he'll stay. McCarthy believes in rostering 3 like Tomlin

@daminals76 @SteelersWin109 I think Allar is weak between the ears, but Penn State averaged nearly 200 ypg on the ground throughout his career and he rarely cracked 30 attempts. Play calling was very conservative. KP was getting an extra 100 attempts in that system

@Greg_Neville1 @DinkleBurghh When people say he has talent, but needs to be developed, that's exactly what they're saying. Nobody's saying he needs to develop a stronger arm lol. It's always the mental side

@DinkleBurghh I’ve watched every single game he’s played. People will say “he has the talent, it just needs to be developed”. To me, that’s not the issue. His physical talents are apparent but his mentals are not good. He absolutely collapses is high pressure situations against good teams.

@Hoobito97 Good sign for Fautanu here. Some though pre draft that he would be better suited at OG, but he held his own on an island, and he has a lot of experience at LT

Apparently, people are confused about the draft, so I'd like to offer some input on the matter. 1. Iheanacho is a RT and a damn good one. His college coach said he is capable of playing LT or LG. But Troy Fautanu was a LT when we drafted him who was capable of playing RT. So if you follow the trail there, that means we should realistically have the ability to move Troy to LT, and Max could play RT. We could also just put Max at LT and have our much better O-line coach get him set there or even use him at LG, which is the least likely, in my opinion. 2. Gennings Dunker gets essentially the same breakdown. He is another very athletically capable guy that many have said would be a great NFL guard. He himself said he would be willing to play any position for whomever drafted him. They essentially liked O-line guys that are athletic and multi-positionally capable. Plus let's be real, the guy looks like he was born to be a Steeler. 3. I do understand the Kaden Wetjen discourse to a degree, just because the 4th might have been a bit high. However, our returner positions before this pick were Kaleb Johnson, Donte Kent, and maybe Jaylen Warren. We saw what happened with Johnson last year against the Seahawks. I like Kaleb Johnson and doubt that would happen again, but I would prefer an actual returner back to receive kicks. Nothing against Kent and Warren, but neither of them are bringing what Wetjen brings to that position. The guy literally won multiple awards for how good he is as a returner. He could also be a solid WR if utilized more in that capacity. He reminds me a bit of Hunter Renfrow personally. 4. Rubio is a solid DT when healthy. Injuries pretty heavily affected his draft positioning. They clearly saw a star when healthy and decided to take a chance. I don't see a problem with that because sometimes that works out for teams, and they took him in the 6th round. Low risk, high reward situation as far as I'm concerned. He's also a big 320-pound nose tackle that everyone was clamoring for, so people should stop complaining about that, in all honesty. 5. Obviously we drafted a FB. McCarthy likes the FB position. People seem to forget that Riley Nowakowski is also a TE. A position that we just lost two players at. We currently only have Pat and Washington before this pick. He can help fill in as a replacement TE and be utilized in a role similar to Connor Heyward whom we also just lost in FA. 6. Allar made sense. Teams were already reaching on QBs, and he was clearly QB3/4 in this draft. They were very obviously going to take him. They scouted him multiple times before his injury, had a formal meeting at the combine, and he was a top 30 visit. They did above and beyond due diligence on Allar. They were always going to draft a QB in this draft. They only had Mason and Will before that pick. He has a ton of upside and potential that McCarthy may be able to unlock. Now we have two young QBs that have a ton of upside. Either way you look at it, the pick was sensible, even at 76. 7. Bernard, Heidenreich, Dunker, and Everett are all guys that help in regards to talent upside and immediate impact, as far as I'm concerned. Bernard becomes an instant WR3. Heidenreich is an all-around athlete and talent that could become WR4 by the end of training camp. Dunker can probably play anywhere on the line and could very well end up being a starting guard. And Everett could be a great talent after learning under Ramsey and JPJ. We can argue about it all day, but I like the class. Was there more value in some of the picks? Absolutely. Do I think the Steelers picked incorrectly? Not necessarily. I think that question will be answered with in-game play. Who knows, maybe Iheanachor ends up being a better and more impactful player than Lemon. Take a breath. Time tells all, and we'll find out in a few months where this class stands.

Eli Heidenreich looked like an NFL-caliber wideout versus Air Force—the whole eval obviously requires a lot of imagination, but this is the sort of vision that I would have for him as a Steeler.

@FishKnowsBall The problem with that is that he has to play RT, and they have to move Fautanu to LT or maybe even LG. So if it doesn’t work, you then have to move the OL around just before, or during, the season. So he’d have to look great right away, which is certainly possible.

@SteelerSanc16 @Developer_420 I just said it's standard for college tackles to project as guards in the NFL. Maybe he works maybe he doesn't, but I think he'll be a successful zone run blocking guard day 1

@DavidAFrey @Developer_420 Despite your 3 minute google search, it is not standard for a tackle in college to move to guard seemlessly. Can it be done? Sure. It’s not just an easy plug and play thing though

Can Troy Fautanu play left tackle? Sure Can Max Iheanachor play left tackle? Sure Can Gennings Dunker play guard? Sure But to expect any of this to go smoothly for the #Steelers with no consequences is naive

@SteelerSanc16 Yea exactly Why not draft an actual LT and LG? They were right there available to draft Smh Why didn’t Omar go to pro days? Why didn’t they have more 1st/2nd round tackles and guards in the interviews? Was he catching up on his beauty sleep?

@SalvadoreYoga @Alex_Kozora @RapSheet McCarthy ran the 6th highest 12 personnel in the league with Dallas. We'll feature TEs heavily again. I don't love Omar, I love Weidl. Trenches are what wins in this league, and Colbert and his terrible drafting ignored it for far too long.

@logicevadesu @SalvadoreYoga @Alex_Kozora @RapSheet We can agree the room is 10x better this year. Last year the top 4 targeted wrs were DK, CAIII, MVS, and Wilson. Replacing CA and MVS with Pittman and Bernard is great. The rest of the wr targets outside out those 4 last year amounted to 37 between Miller, Thielen, and Ben
