She threatened Texas Tech with massive sanctions, outmaneuvering the competition and forcing Sorsby to the NFL. All of the NCAA should be thanking her!

Let's close this chapter of college football... Indiana - Likely had no idea Sorsby was betting, no reason to go after the team for something an individual did. Cincinnati - No evidence that they knew Sorsby bet on his former teams or college teams at all. He was flagged one time for a single bet, and it was handled. Could they have done more research and found out more about other betting cases? Sure, but again, they handled it with the information they were given. Texas Tech - They've looked pretty bad the last few days digging their feet in on defending Sorsby for not "breaking any laws" despite breaking every ethical rule out there, but legally you did nothing wrong. No hard feelings, let's move on. Sorsby - I hope he continues to get this gambling issue figured out. Go out and get picked up by an NFL team and have a successful career.

Drake, respectfully. What the heck are you talking about? Texas Tech became aware of Sorsby's gambling problem and immediately sent him to rehab and suspended him from the team. They filed an appeal with the NCAA which was declined and they moved on. Sorsby on his own, hired Kessler and won an injunction against the NCAA, primarily because of how incompetent the organization is. Texas Tech did not fund and was not a party to the lawsuit. Tech did not commit to play him and said repeatedly they're focused on Brendan Sorsby’s health and future. After assessing the situation for a week (and consulting with their legal team) they (along with Sorsby himself) made a decision to part ways. I don't know what more you all wanted Texas Tech to do with this.

This is what’s best for everyone. No more lawsuits. Nobody gets punished. Sorsby keeps playing football. Peace at last.

I never would’ve thought that Texas Tech would single-handedly hold the fate of college football in it’s hand. If Sorsby plays, college football as we know it will be destroyed forever, if he doesn’t play it will go back to being the bastion of fairness in the world
