@DoctorPlato @GentleFishorse Until 5.4, most people preferred the original Merlwyb. Most prefer the original Ilberd as well. Most like Alphinaud at the time and Sam Riegel could have easily changed the voice a bit as Alphinaud grew. Plus Gideon Emergy (Lor'themar) was fucking Urianger.

@Aserbtt @Khorgnir Not really. We know in Warcraft that magic can corrupt and twist entire species. Trolls have always been able to use the arcane. So elves being the arcane corrupted version of trolls keeps this in-line. They're the only natural race on Azeroth like elves
