At some point, there was a cultural development where we began calling the requirement of skill "gatekeeping", and the appreciation of the skill "elitism", and I vote we stop doing this immediately.

@Hoodie_Milly @TheManlet_King GoT didn't have a payoff either. I dropped it as soon as I realized it had turned into murder roulette porn. The only thing anyone was able to talk about back when the episodes were still coming out was "I wonder who's gonna die next". The show had zero depth beyond that.

Honestly tho. I think the bigger issue was the lack of payoff. Game of Thrones damn near built their dynasty on Ned dying in similar fashion. Horrible tragedy works in fiction many times. This just wasnt one of them. The writers liked JDM too much, so it made them humanize Negan and keep him alive. You need a payoff with these kinds of things or people are out

Source: I'm originally from Morocco. And I'm sure no one wants to spell the original name (Maghreb) or attempt to pronounce it

@ThomasSowell True. There was no live feed in those days. We had to wait until Armstrong descended the LEM with the camera automatically set on or near the ladder, to capture the moment. Footage from the landing was made available after they returned.

I don’t know what’s happened to Ana Kasparian in the past few years, but she’s turned into an absolute maniac — barking and screaming at everyone like a rabid dog, accusing them of supporting the killing of children. Yet she casually denies or laughs off the slaughter of over 30,000 Iranians by the regime, acting like 20,000, 10,000, or even 5,000 dead is no big deal.
