@JamesMelville Joe's first point of contention is a 13 year old girls intellect when she competently operates multiple pieces of large machinery. Assume he's never left his farm. If he had, he'd know that a large portion of the adult human population is on her intellectual level or worse 😂.

I disagree with the article. I was working on the farm doing basic jobs whilst at primary school age and then machinery jobs and heavy lifting labour in secondary school age. Yes, there were a few scrapes, but the benefits (fitness, self reliance, teamwork, outdoor work, practical skills and daily advice from the farm workers) far outweighed the negatives. I learned so much as a farmer’s son. Of course some of the work involved some element of responsible risk, but isn’t that the whole bloody point? Life shouldn’t be risk free.

Saw this in an industry group chat and can relate! "Why does a single custom t-shirt take 2 weeks" It doesn't, it goes through a schedule. "(Company A) can do it in 2 days" Yes, they either have little work to do or outsource to low quality large scale fulfilment factories.

We were recently commissioned to produce and supply custom jerseys in 3 colourways, polo shirts, hoodies and jackets for Team USA of a #tabletop games team. All with a custom woven badge and embroidered star.

@opt_dan @allenanalysis You don't understand the economics surrounding supply & demand, and that's ok. You're wrong. The price will come down as farmers have more produce to allocate to an existing local market, and they will want to entice US customers to buy more to avoid losses.

Oh oh. That means we'll be paying much more in the US to make up for the shortfall. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but hamburger is already 10 bucks a pound. I guess it's now going to be 20 bucks a pound. My favorite tri tip will probably be at least 30 bucks a pound and t-bone close to 50 bucks a pound.
