It's depressing that kids just don't have their own channels anymore. I guess it's because everything is more accessible online. But when I was a kid Citv and CBBC were such a big part of my childhood, coming home after school to watch my favourite shows. It's just so sad.

CITV is coming to an end, for good. After the channel closed in 2023, there’s been a CITV block on ITV2 every day, but this ends on 10th April. The new home for children’s content will be on ITVX Kids.

In the modern game there's a lot of criticism that players are like robots.
There's even criticism that our players shouldn't be celebrating like this after a win.

@drgerke1 It kind of comes down to syntax and how certain words make people feel. "Benefits" is a word that is coded extremely negatively. So even though the state pension is objectively a benefit, it cannot be described as such. Only failures and parasites or on benefits after all!

This is 100% correct, but let’s not forget the ideological function of the myth. It’s to spare pensioners from the ‘shame’ of being dependents of the state/working-class, and also to increase the shame attached other forms of dependence. It’s a con that reduces social solidarity.

No one has ‘paid into’ the state pension. NI payments are spent by the government of the day, not put into a pot with your name on.
