For some of us, chilling on a beach in Lakshadweep would count as a planned holiday. Nice to have a job where this is part of work. (Also, recently took a two day break to visit the Sri Krishna temple in Guruvayur. Wish I had a job where going on temple runs was part of my official to-do list).

Guess Costco is a thing for them worldwide. Indian takes his mom into Costco in Australia and she absolutely loses it when she sees all the meat. Real question. Why move to a meat-eating western nation to only act this way? Pretty sure there’s a country that frowns on eating cow that’s just perfect for her.

Summary of key infra projects for Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad & surrounding PMR region shared by Union Minister Nitin ji Gadkari. Video: youtube.com/live/r_wajtndy… 1️⃣ Pune–Shirur Elevated Corridor (Pune AhilyaNagar Highway):53.40 km, ₹7,515 crore. Kharadi–Vitthalwadi to have a 3-layer design with road, 6-lane flyover and metro. Includes a 31 km continuous flyover. Groundbreaking expected soon. 2️⃣ Hadapsar–Yavat Corridor (Pune Solapur Highway): 31.50 km, ₹5,262 crore. 3-layer stretch up to Pune Ring Road with metro provision, followed by a 6-lane elevated corridor. Groundbreaking expected soon. 3️⃣ Nashik Phata–Khed Corridor (Pune Nashik Highway): ₹7,808 crore. Planned as a 10-lane corridor with flyover, road below, service roads, and possible future metro integration. Land Acquisition ulmost finalised. Tenders will be floated soon. 4️⃣ Talegaon–Chakan–Shikrapur Highway: 53.20 km. Talegaon–Chakan ₹6,499 crore; Chakan–Shikrapur ₹5,232 crore. Will separate local and heavy traffic and improve MIDC connectivity. Tender finalized. Groundbreaking expected soon. 5️⃣ Ravet–Narhe Elevated Corridor (Pune Bengaluru Highway NH48): ₹6,000 crore DPR prepared; ₹1,600 crore service road work underway. Will ease congestion on NH48. Delayed due to court cases. Resolution expected by March end. 6️⃣ Pune–Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Greenfield Expressway: 192.50 km, ₹15,000 crore. Pune–Sambhajinagar in about 2 to 2.15 hours; Pune–Nagpur in 5 hours via Samruddhi. 7️⃣ New Pune–Mumbai Expressway: New route from Pagote to Chauk via JNPT after Atal Setu. Phase 1 worth ₹5,000 crore. Travel time may reduce to 1 to 1.5 hours. Tender for Phase 1 to be floated soon. Phase 2,3 will connect Chauk to Pune Ring Road at Shivare. 8️⃣ Pune–Bengaluru Greenfield Expressway: Proposed extension from Pune Ring Road to Bengaluru. Travel time may reduce to 4.30 to 5 hours. Approval by Central Cabinet expected soon. 9️⃣ Pune Ring Road: Being developed by MSRDC. Will connect major new expressways and elevated corridors, reducing city traffic. Work underway. 🔟 Palkhi Marg: ₹10,000–11,000 crore project covering Dehu-Alandi to Pandharpur nearing completion. Inspection planned in May 2026, followed by inauguration in the hands of Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi. 1️⃣1️⃣ Old Pune–Satara Highway (NH48): ₹6,000 crore DPR for 32 km stretch; ₹1,600 crore service lanes approved; Navale Bridge elevated road planned; Khambatki twin tunnel nearing completion. 1️⃣2️⃣ Old Mumbai–Pune Highway: Around 65,000 PCU daily. ₹8,000 crore DPR prepared. Urgent upgrades needed due to heavy traffic and accident risk. I remember many things from Covid - lockdown with no plan, targeting of Tablighi Jamaat, migrant workers walking 1000s of kms to get home, huge queues for oxygen, desperate calls for beds, millions of deaths underreported, Modi hiding during delta, the colossal mismanagement etc.

Dear @metrorailpune, I had a few issues using the service today:
- The ticket machines did not accept my international UPI ID or credit card.
- The counter attendant could not accept cash to recharge my Delhi NCMC.
- I did not get a reply to messages sent to the WhatsApp number.

E-Square to Baner Road Flyover Opens to Citizens Tomorrow I am pleased to share that the much-awaited E-Square to Baner Road flyover will be opened for public use from tomorrow (08/03/2026) Hon. Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis Ji will inaugurate the flyover through a brief online ceremony tomorrow 10:00 am in the presence of Hon. Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Sunetra Tai Pawar, Hon. Minister of State Shri. Murlidhar Mohol Ji, Hon. Minister Shri Chandrakant Patil Ji, Hon. Minister Madhuritai Misal and all senior leaders and officials. Am confident that this important flyover will greatly improve traffic flow along this critical corridor and provide long-term relief to both residents and daily commuters. मार्केट बंद असल्याने येत्या आठवड्यात फक्त भात मिळेल. पोळीभाजी द्यायला पुढचा महिना येईल.

#MumbaiPuneExpressWay वर एक टॅंकर काय उलटला तर तब्बल ३५ तास मुंबई आणि पुणे या दोन महत्वाच्या शहरांचा संपर्क तुटल्यात जमा होता. हा या भ्रष्टयुती सरकारच्या कारभाराचाच फोलपणा होता.
आता यावर मलमपट्टी म्हणून #MissingLink च्या PR साठी इंस्टाग्राम, युट्युब इन्फ्लुएन्सर्सना बोलावून लाखो रुपयांची अक्षरशः उधळपट्टी सुरू आहे.
कारण एकच, काहीही होवो “स्वयंघोषित इन्फ्रा मॅन”चा PR न थांबता चेहरा चमकत राहिला पाहिजे.
