It's not personal, Nate. It's ethnic.
Even though you pandered to them for 10 years, they still voted for the Bangladeshi pizza shop owner instead of you.

@ABDanielleSmith Happy Mother’s Day to a true Canadian fighter, Danielle!

Mothers are the heart of our homes and families. Their love, strength, sacrifice, and encouragement shape who we become.
And today, I want to thank my mom, Sharon, for everything she has done for me throughout my life. Your love and support have meant more than words can say.
Happy Mother’s Day to every mom, grandmother, stepmom, foster mom, and mother figure across our province.

Deeper integration, but also, more reliance is a weakness. That said, we need a new security and economic partnership, yet, we need to look to middle powers and China for the new world order. Keeping in mind, the United States is our most important ally, at the same time, they're a hegemonic power who doesn't share our values. Albeit, we have the best trade deal already, however, Trump will ignore any deal so getting one doesn't matter so much.
I do hope that clarifies things. #cdnpoli

Carney's version of the hokey-pokey... put your elbows up, take your elbows down... with deeper integration all around 🤦♂️

@vesperdigital These are the people that still blame things in Canada on Harper.

@DavidColetto Do these Canadians realize our economy collapses without it? Also, the trade deal will outlive the 2 years Trump is in office.
English

For the Carney government, our latest poll suggests there’s room to negotiate.
Canadians don’t fully trust the Trump administration to honour a new trade deal, but most still give Carney positive marks for how he’s handling the file.
The priority: a good deal, not a fast one.

@nationalpost And yet the Boomer generation is receiving more in pensions from the government than ever before.

@newstart_2024 Chris Williamson lost me years ago because his entire focus is on the individual. He is almost 40 with no wife and no kids. He is feeling alone because he is.
English

Chris Williamson dropped a brutal truth on Rogan:
Most people only tinker — new haircut, lose five pounds, switch jobs.
But real transformation? Rewiring your body, your country, your entire worldview? That’s unicorn-rare.
And here’s what almost nobody says out loud: the hardest part isn’t the work.
It’s the loneliness that hits when you start moving at a different velocity.
You become the weirdo training six nights a week, eating differently, journaling at dawn, chasing something you can’t fully explain. Your self-belief doesn’t stay Hollywood-strong — it flickers hard. You’re scrabbling in uncertainty, wondering if any of this is even working.
The old crew doesn’t get it. The pull back to “normal” is magnetic. You might lose entire friend groups… sometimes more than once.
That isolation isn’t a glitch. It’s the feature. The price of refusing average.
In a world built for comfort and sameness, choosing the uncertain climb is one of the last truly rebellious moves left. It forges depth most people will never touch.
I’ve lived those lonely chapters chasing my own new start. The doubt is heavy. The freedom on the other side is heavier.
What’s the biggest change you made that left you out of sync with your old circle — and did you ever find your new one?

‼️ WOW
Politico just reported what actually killed Canada’s trade deal with the United States.
Not Doug Ford’s ad.
Not a tariff dispute.
Melanie Joly.
She threatened to SUE Stellantis.
Then she threatened to CLAW BACK funds from GM.
The US auto industry went directly to the White House.
Trump pulled the plug on a deal described as imminent.
One official said Joly’s actions “inflamed a very important ally.”
Another said it was “posturing” that destroyed the relationship.
This is the same Joly who:
-Never read the $15 billion Stellantis contract she publicly defended
-Applauded 49,000 Chinese EVs into Canada while Canadian auto workers lost jobs
-Was in Germany at a trade show posting LinkedIn content while all of this collapsed

@Hershel_Lives @NHL_Watcher The problem is whether you get a “haul” for Matthews considering his no movement clause limits your options. The Canucks had to take what they could get when trading Quinn Hughes.
English

@NHL_Watcher I’d sign up for this. We are not winning with Austin Matthews, EVER!

🚨BREAKING🚨
The Department of Heritage just ADMITTED that the number of small and independent news outlets has “DECLINED” since the Liberal Government’s C-18.
This is the bill the Liberals promised would save local news.
It has done the exact opposite:
- No more news on social media.
- Fewer local and independent news outlets.
Utter failure.
