@AnthonyDiComo And yet today we have guys on this platform proposing a 3 to 1 trade with top prospects for another 3rd baseman. X is wild.

Bo Bichette and Juan Soto today: 6-for-9, 2B, BB, 5 R, 3 RBI. That's a bit closer to what the Mets expected the top of their order to look like.

The Mets season just makes zero sense. They won a series against the Braves, but can’t manage to score against the Reds. Can’t start catching up when you play terrible baseball.

@thesportsgenius They actually had an ace. He got hurt and went from the next best thing to constantly on the mend. Not sure how you think anyone could see that coming. Alonso certainly didn’t help by tossing the ball 20 feet over his head.

@MicParabolic So the pitching was good last year? If we had a decent pitching staff, perhaps an ace even. We make the playoffs and then some last year.

Pete Alonso is on pace for 36 Homeruns and 106 RBI and brings more than just numbers. Heart, energy, emotion. All the things the NY Mets are missing this season. The dude showed up to play 162 games a year for the Mets and David Stearns let him walk like he was worthless

@MicParabolic The Mets broke the all-time MLB record by utilizing 46 different pitchers over the course of the 2025 season. During the second-half stretch, the Mets had a jaw-dropping 60-game block where David Peterson was the only starting pitcher to last 6 innings in a game.

@TheMetsX This is his first inning back after a long time off and actually settled down and pitched well. 2 problem here were the umps box and Alvarez. He needs to be pitching to Torrens.

@Masterflip_ Agree 100%. They really have no reason to even be on the field. Every play can be determined with 100% certainty without any officials. Does that make the game better? I think so. But others will argue the opposite.

Hot take: If we have the technology, we should be getting the call right 100% of the time. MLB needs to fully implement ABS for balls and strikes and get rid of traditional umpiring once and for all!

Senga has an inability to handle any semblance of adversity. I’m not sure he can hack it with any MLB club, let alone one in NY. He should go back to Japan (where he was a reliever for most of his career btw).

@FinkelsteinRyan After he settled down he pitched well with absolutely no help from the Ump and with a catcher he probably shouldn’t be paired with.

Kodai Senga is probably going to be criticized by Mets fans, but he just gave you exactly what Christian Scott did and got praised for last week. He was punched in the mouth first time through and then punched back. Curious to watch him try to build off it.

@TonyD59772266 @asollecito11 Well you still have a couple of things to take into account. 1. Are they giving up on 3 SPs all at once and going a new direction? The Mets didn’t. 2. Who is available that’s better? Peralta and they got him. 3. Who is going to take them and what’s it going to cost?

@MicParabolic @asollecito11 Peterson and Senga combined where less than ten million more than what Arenado was owed before the season. And the Mets have much larger payrolls than the Cardinals.

Kodai Senga, Sean Manaea and David Peterson all should have been CUT this offseason there were so many starting pitcher options in free agency and we didn’t sign a single one #FireStearns

@TonyD59772266 @asollecito11 That’s 1/3rd and 2 less people plus he was traded because even though he was on the decline he still had 10 straight gold gloves so defensively he has worth even if he’s not a 3,4,5 hitter. This post suggests cutting 3 SP’s with hefty contracts. That’s ludicrous.

@MicParabolic @asollecito11 The cardinals ate 30 million to get rid of Arenado. And they’re a small market team.

@metsbatflip1 Who do you think is going to take him! I mean this toxic moronic BS is super old. Like there’s a line of 29 teams begging for Senga or something. You can’t all be this dumb.

Kodai Senga begged and begged on his knees for the Mets to keep him this season. This is a guy who can’t stay on the field and when he does he has trouble throwing strikes, let alone putting hitters away. He currently has an ERA of 10. Saw this coming from a mile away. Makes no sense as to why they didn’t move him.

The Reds are just as pathetic as the Mets except they’ll play little league ball all day long with no shame just to try and get a win.

One on with no outs and couldn’t even get him to second. You can complain about Senga all you want but when there’s this many opportunities to get runs in and you can’t that’s a bigger problem.

@01Starblazer He’s a career 3.39 era including his 9.00 this year. Fragile maybe but overrated is a tough one to argue. The issue is like the rest of the rotation, there’s no workhorse. Leads to injury and overworked pen.

I have nothing against Kodai Senga. He's just fragile and grossly overrated by this fan base. At best, he's a backend starter. In reality, he's a guy who should consider returning to Japan to finish his career. This team ain't going anywhere. Play the kids. Get better.

@chadlurie @BaseballQuotes1 Looks like 3 guys produced all the hits and runs and one of the was a PH. That is pretty dismal. I’d be happy for the win but it certainly isn’t the best way to get it.

@MicParabolic @BaseballQuotes1 The Cubs have just been terrible with men on base. 1st in the MLB in walks. 5th in OBP. 10th in runs scored. That's awful.
