BREAKING: Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum isn't playing games!
Mexico’s government says it will file criminal complaints in the United States over the deaths of 17 Mexican nationals in ICE custody or during immigration enforcement operations under the Trump administration.
14 deaths occurred in detention centers and 3 during operations, officials confirmed. The move marks an escalation beyond diplomatic notes and international complaints.

35 years. Knowing he was here illegally. Knowing the consequences of that decision and the risks that came with it. Who apparently ignored orders from law enforcement. Who struck an agency vehicle while attempting to evade law enforcement, endangering the public. Who then tried to escape by driving OVER a federal officer. It's sad, but everything that happened happened as a result of his own decisions. I have sympathy, but they are reduced greatly by his actions.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was a husband and father who spent 35 years building a life in Houston.
ICE shot and killed him on his way to work.
His family deserves the truth. Every immigrant family deserves to live free from Donald Trump’s fear.

@heathercsutton Of course it wasn't a traffic stop. It was ICE doing their job and arresting an undocumented immigrant. Which is absolutely within their jurisdiction. 🙄

ICE claimed that Lorenzo Salgado Araujo drove his van into one of their SUVs and later attempted to run an ICE agent over. The first thing our local media pointed out was the lack of damage on Araujo’s van. One of the best investigative journalists in Houston, Jeremy Rogalski, found surveillance camera footage showing ICE ramming the van minutes before shots were fired. @ReichlinMelnick They know the risk of being here illegally - whether they crossed the border without admittance or overstayed a visa. The consequences are known. They don't get to avoid those consequences of their intentional actions just because they got away with it for a long period of time.

Many of the people ICE is arresting have worked 12 hour days, 7 days a week, year after year, to raise a family and build a life in a country they love. To contribute. But the law does not give them any chance to “fix their papers,” no matter how hardworking they are. It should.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo called Houston home for 35 years. On Tuesday, an ICE agent shot and killed him. His family learned of his death from a video before anyone bothered to knock on their door.
New York City stands with the Salgado family in demanding a full, independent investigation and real accountability. To the Salgado family and any immigrant family in this city living in fear: we grieve with you and we will continue to stand beside you in the pursuit of justice.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya ran one of Gaza's last hospitals. He refused to leave his patients even after Israel killed his own son in a drone strike.
Israel kidnapped him for it. 18 months in detention, tortured and beaten, for the crime of running a hospital.

The President’s foolish comments on Greenland hurt us in Europe tremendously. Greenland and Denmark are NATO allies. Denmark fought by our side in Afghanistan. Trump’s threats have greatly weakened the trust Europeans have had towards U.S. since post World War 2. Stop the stupid.
