A police van gave chase to a Smart car driven by a not-so-smart suspect. Officers skilfully weaved in and out of rush‑hour traffic to apprehend the driver, who mounted pavements and ran red lights at dangerous speeds. Just because it’s a van, it doesn’t mean it can’t keep up!
🇬🇧 An additional 264 police officers have been deployed, including armed units and drone teams, to protect London's Jewish communities following the burning of private ambulances. "The public will see visible firearms officers patrolling the streets. We are also deploying specialist assets – from drones to our mounted branch – to keep these communities safe. We are working particularly closely with Jewish schools and synagogues to ensure our protective security measures are as robust as possible," Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor said. Trust in policing has been damaged. My government will rebuild it. From next month, officers not fit to serve will be sacked. Our Plan for Change will make our streets safe.
