@FreedomLadUK Started my account on here today too. Similar age (I’m 43) and wish I knew more about investing earlier on in life, could probably retire now had I known.

Afternoon everyone, This is a brand new X account dedicated to tracking my FIRE journey in public. I’m 42, based in Yorkshire 🇬🇧 | Homeowner 🏠 | ETF Growth Investor. For years I was good at saving money but terrible at actually investing it. I procrastinated for a long time and even missed getting into Tesla in the early days. Finally took the leap and started investing properly on 26/03/2020. Current portfolio: £240k I’m now fully committed - throwing everything I can at it. Slightly annoyed I started so late, but my clear target is to be in a position to retire before 50, and ideally a lot sooner than that. Most people see the sacrifice but never stick around long enough to see the payoff. That’s why disciplined investors often look foolish in the early years and fortunate in the later ones. ✅💰 What appears to be luck is usually delayed recognition of consistent behavior! 💎

I started my investing journey picking individual stocks and mainly UK dividend payers. I’ve now tilted towards a more balanced portfolio consisting of ETF’s and US Momentum stocks. How did you start your journey and have you changed your strategy?
