@estelsiplanetes Des del bell mig de Barcelona el 25 de novembre passat. Els núvols no han donat més treva aquests dies...

@AJamesMcCarthy Barcelona City Center, Nov 25. I wish the sky looked like this tonight! The clouds are completely masking the closest approach right now—no luck at all. Wishing for a break in the weather! 🔭

I’m honestly so disappointed by the volume of people saying NASA didn’t put out good photos of this object. Yes they did. Far, far better than mine, with invaluable data.
There are people out there that benefit from sowing distrust in institutions like NASA. If they’re who you’re getting your space news from, you’re going to have a very backwards understanding of things like this comet.
No, NASA didn’t hide anything about 3i/Atlas, and they directed a LOT of resources to studying it so guys like me can take photos of it to share with you. It’s all publicly available information on their website, and they have done a great job covering it so far.

After getting daily requests for literally months- I'm pleased to share with you 3i/Atlas. The "Alien" comet, captured entirely with my own equipment. What do I think about it? I'll share my observations in the replies.

We've just released the latest images of the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS, as observed by eight different spacecraft, satellites, and telescopes.
Here's what we've learned about the comet — and how we're studying it across the solar system: go.nasa.gov/4o3hp92

First attempt capturing Comet 3I/ATLAS from Barcelona, a Bortle 9 nightmare! 🤯
Definitely a challenge battling the city lights, but managed to get a glimpse of that beautiful, faint coma. So much respect for city astrophotographers!

NASA released new images of 3I/ATLAS as it plunged towards the sun, captured by a host of the agency’s robots and probes. 🔗 on.natgeo.com/4pzlFhT

My first attempt today, since the night was more favorable for photographing the 3I/ATLAS. The other photo is from NASA. Which one is the one by @PetrizLab?

Avi Loeb Says 3I/ATLAS Could Be Aiming to Drop Probes Near Jupiter
Avi Loeb points out that 3I/ATLAS will reach Jupiter’s Hill radius almost perfectly - a rare one-in-thousands match. He explains that any spacecraft wanting to leave probes around Jupiter would aim for this region, where new objects can be captured by the planet’s gravity.
The tiny non-gravitational push detected during perihelion created the exact correction needed, raising questions about whether the alignment was natural or purposeful.
