You don’t need to be a foreign policy expert to have an opinion on America and Israel going to war with Iran. But in 2026, with infinite knowledge at our fingertips, jingoism demands a herculean suspension of reality. Iran’s regime is undeniably brutal. Khamenei was a ruthless tyrant, and there’s no world in which we’re better off with him in power. But let’s not rewrite the motives in real time: this wasn’t a humanitarian intervention. We didn’t start a war with Iran over human rights abuses. We’ve now bombed Iran without a plan for the Iranian people or a vision for what comes next. No democratic strategy, no post‑war roadmap. That’s war without purpose and, tragically, history shows that in the Middle East, it’s what we do best. We killed Khamenei. Now what? The bombing of Iran will not improve the life of a single American. We were promised cheaper groceries. Instead, Trump gave us another illegal forever war the majority of Americans neither wanted nor support.

It is sad to see how many pro #DeathToAmerica leaders there are now in the #DemocraticParty.
