Today, the team and local PCSO's attended schools on Harvey rd, Kingsbury Dr and Beechdale rd, with the aim of helping parents understand the impact of dangerous parking outside schools. We also engaged with many parents about car idling. #saferschools #Dayofaction

@CaFNottmCity @REACTNottingham Could you explain the reasons why it doesnt let you park 'anywhere'? I have a badge and had no problem parking in resident only spaces in London, Leicester, or elsewhere.

This #BlueBadge was stolen in London. An @REACTNottingham officers spotted it in a #Nottingham residents’ parking scheme. There’s a common myth that a badge lets you park anywhere. It doesn’t - & abuse like this shows the motorist didn’t know (or didn’t care) about the rules.

@simon_prickett Hi Simon, that syl is only enforceable at certain times of day. The cycle lane is also not covered by a restriction, so although inconvenient, it is OK. Thanks for the info though, we'll make sure that it's checked when it's enforceable.

Officers went to the Bluecoat Beechdale Academy this morning. Disappointingly, we had to advise a lot of drivers that they couldn't stop on the yellow school keep clear zig zags, and several pcns were served. #saferschools
