@widow_waiting @Morrisons Maybe ring them and not play it out publicly or get to supermarket in day instead of being on here

@PhilNash2 As an alternative but different conference there’s always the AgriLeader Forum? As a levy payer the conference cost is covered by your levy you just need to cover travel and B&B accommodation? ahdb.org.uk/AgriLeader-for…

Is the Oxford farming conference open to anyone going along? I’ve never worked out how you get a ticket or apply. Do you have to be invited?

@Luppod61 It should show up on diesel usage. Unfortunately not a huge part of sustainability in the grand scheme of things.

@farmmillennial Had a ate who had carpet and an immaculate tractor cab. No matter how wet and muddy it was his cab was always spotless 🤷‍♂️

Farmers who have carpet in their tractors - I don't get it. How? We have 2 used machines that came with the carpet pieces, which were destroyed within a couple of days from the black mud we farm. Are there people who never have to get out?!

@DallynLee @sussexfarming It’s about forming a good relationship. That works for both sides. I sure as hell wouldn’t have wanted to be a contractor this year.

@sussexfarming I have tended to shed those type of clients. If I can’t get there or haven’t got the tools for the job then happy to let someone else do the job. Madly chasing work is where things start to go wrong

Incredibly sad. working with contractors & seeing the pressures, farmers can do their bit. The way some think it’s acceptable to talk to contractors who’ve broken down or threaten to lose work to someone who’s a few pence cheaper after they’ve financed machinery, doesn’t help
Rob Halliday@cvfarming

Very sad to hear that a young contractor in Wiltshire has taken his life. There are lots of stresses & strains, compounded by many hours working alone. Please just pick up the phone or catch up with one friend, ask them how they are and share the load. We've got to work on this.

@DallynLee There is only 1 thing worse than not having any rain and that is hearing other people brag about how much they got 😱
