If you smoke weed you are in mortal sin and with no desire to change confession does nothing for you. The priest cannot absolve a sin you are not sorry for and actively try to make excuses for. It's common for some people to try and make excuses so they can do bad things and pretend it's not bad. There are far better medications than trying to use marijuana as medicine and the Catholic Church also teaches that.
