In a market economy, businesses produce goods & services based on consumer demand, and the prices are set based on how much of a product is available (supply) and how much people want it (demand).

This is a university currently £170m in debt.
Debt incurred by building an unsanctioned white elephant in Belfast instead of a planned expansion in Derry that wouldn’t have bankrupted both UU and the entire NI HE sector.

Going to be annoying here: from a housing perspective the north coast caters more to tourists than the people who live there. I don't celebrate the Twelfth but I do wonder if people are annoyed at having to constantly cater to rich yanks.

Very few things surprise me any more in NI, but this is genuinely shocking.
In a few days kids will be at a bonfire next to a pile of asbestos and both the council and Environment Agency have failed to deal with it decisively.
What is going on in this place?

It is crazy that a bonfire is set to go ahead later this week on a site containing asbestos. People have a right to cultural expression, but protecting the safety of children is paramount. Environment Minister Andrew Muir must urgently intervene for the sake of people's health.
