@PollyOartist @BladeoftheS @sisirc123 Let's not forget that the UK recognizes healthcare as a human right.....so.... When it rations care or results in death or denies care resulting in death, is that a violation of the patient's human rights? Of course it is. Square the Circle for me.

@PollyOartist @BladeoftheS @sisirc123 And yet.....for 80 years, the NHS has never figure out how to fix wait times. Worse every year with some exceptions. Why are there wait times? Is it literally because the government hides the real cost of care by rationing it or not spending enough on it? Of course.

Let me explain Universal Healthcare. It doesn't matter how much it costs, because if all the money goes to Nurses, Doctors, Hospitals and treatments run by the Government all that money goes back to the Government. So it cannot be unaffordable. The real problem, no profits

@rushicrypto Amazing Rushi. How does Europe have its bloated and expensive welfare state? It taxes everyone, even the poor at higher levels than we do. What you are proving is that at the end of the day, you will not do that which means you can't even come close to funding your fantasies

Income tax rates should be 0% for poor people, 25% for middle class people, 40% for rich people, and 70% on every dollar past $10M. There should also be a 5% wealth tax on anyone with more than $1B in assets.

@FrizzellH @karol Obsessed? He is a progressive. Single Payer is a mantra of the D party in general. They want it. That comes with every authoritarian tendency. Do you support SP? Then you prove my point.

@SimpletonWill @karol Why are you so obsesesed with Bernie Sanders? He isn't even in the Democratic party. He is a single state senator who is independent. He doesn't represent either party. You think I should defend the opinions of every single senator??

@SimpletonWill @karol This can't be a serious question? Trump wants to literally be a dictator and gets angry when a person or institution tells him no or gets in his way.

@dlew123456 @RedWavePress It isn't a federal responsibility. It is a state one if they want to do so. I am not wholly opposed to welfare, but it should be at the local level only. Not Federal. Not State, but county and city.

@SimpletonWill @RedWavePress I’m cool with stopping funding forever for it, but I do think there’s also obviously an argument to fund at baseline levels education & just minimal services for homeless so they’re not dying on the street. Or at least K-8 education, as private funding like food banks are great

Lydia Moynihan: “The vast majority of the federal budget does go to entitlements, and the role of the government is to protect and defend its citizens. I don't know, maybe I missed a founding document where it said everyone should get free daycare, but I don't think it is in the Constitution… The fact of the matter is we are seeing states, whether it's fraudulent or not, are spending a fortune on some of these government programs in New York and California, we're spending more than $100K on each homeless person with literally nothing to show for it.” “In states where we spend $30,000 on education, they have some of the worst scores. D.C., whereas you look at Texas, is spending $10K per student and actually performs much better. So I don't think money is the answer. If you look at how we've spent it doesn't really seemed to me solving the problems.”

@dlew123456 @RedWavePress No. You can't give government an inch. If you do, as we see, it will take as many miles as it wants. It might take 100 years but here we are. Nearly 100 yrs after FDR's stint, and we have a government no longer bound by the document that created it.

@SimpletonWill @RedWavePress I just think you’d be hard pressed to be able to stop entitlement funding entirely in this country, whether libertarian economic theory’s says it’d be better or not bc government sucks at everything. Have to practical as possible unfortunately, ie. fund at baseline

@delunavintage @bluepenguin_wss @OunkaOnX We pay taxes sure. Government just prints what it doesn't have. So again, why are we paying taxes if revenue isn't tied to spending? Why not just print $4T each year to pay for healthcare? Although it isn't even constitutional to pay for it.

Moynihan: “Constitution doesn't mention free daycare” It also doesn't mention Israel's defense budget, but the government found room for that. Priorities are a choice.

Yes. It really baffles me how hard the concept of "we should tax the shit out of rich people but then they should also benefit from the services those taxes fund" is for people

@Jazzear145 @bluepenguin_wss @OunkaOnX Then Donnie has all the powers he wants because there are now no rules. After all, it is a living document and adaptable, yet those who believe in the "living" aspect still turn to the hard stone of the constitution to say he can't do something? Not how it works.

@Jazzear145 @bluepenguin_wss @OunkaOnX He does to a degree have control of it. Donnie's power isn't as limited as you think. How is the judiciary his puppet? If you think so now do FDR and what he did to the Supreme Court. But the irony isn't lost. If you believe in a living constitution.....

@delunavintage @bluepenguin_wss @OunkaOnX It is the law of the land. It was designed to be bare minimum for a reason. It was designed not to concentrate power in a central authority. It can't be all things to all people. We are going broke reteaching that lesson to people who think we can pay for everything.

@dlew123456 @RedWavePress It isn't the answer but we should fund it anyway? What is that? Is government ever efficient? No. It has no incentive to be because it has a money printer. Once you create a program like this you can never get rid of it nor its inefficiencies.

@RedWavePress It’s obviously not the answer. It should of course be funded, but not endlessly (and certainly if there’s poor results). Just goes to admin staff. Sometimes (almost always) strained resources bring it more efficiency

@FrizzellH @karol Progressives already undermine the rule of law and desire to imprison their opposition. This is all Authoritarian. The same things the left already tried to do or did with Trump and his supporters is something you are going to try to do again as clearly stated.

@FrizzellH @karol Also, please address my point about Bernie. Are Bernie's policies not authoritarian by nature? It centralizes authority, removes choices, punishes dissent, limits opposition, destroys separation of powers between the States and Fed Gov. All Authoritarian. Is Trump doing that?

Imagine the impact of a 50% wealth tax on the top 0.1%. 💸 By redirecting those resources, we could: • Fully fund universal healthcare and education 🏥📚 • Rebuild crumbling infrastructure and green energy grids 🏗️🌱 • Eliminate the deficit while lowering the tax burden on the working class 📉 It’s not just about math; it’s about investing in a more stable, equitable future for everyone. 🌍✨ #WealthTax #EconomicJustice #Equality

Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, says that US Government raising taxes doesn’t do anything to help the average American He says raising taxes does nothing because Congress just launders the money to their friends, special interest groups and “17,000 lobbying groups” “I don't know anyone, and you guys in the room, you might be Democrats, Republicans who thinks that sending another trillion dollars to Washington D.C will actually improve anything. So when you say raise taxes, if you said raise taxes and directly give it to the people who need it, do it. That does not happen. It goes to all these interest groups, and they give it to their friends and all that.” “Which is why the people are considered a swamp. It's kind of a swamp, the 17,000 lobbying groups. But bank companies are guilty too. They're just fighting for their one self-interest as opposed to what's good for my country”

@MultiMillionD10 @woofknight Your argument is strange. It looks to private charities or churches as a problem to be taxed. Yet government does the same type of spending with overhead, with meager results, and yet you want to reward it with possibly more money, for no reason?

@MultiMillionD10 @woofknight Government doesn't like competition. Replace one inefficiency it doesn't control with another. Taxation is a form of control and intimidation. Does government ever get punished for failing to oversee how its funds are spent on "charity?"
