@Jodicab22 This is what I don't get. Locals without APs would be spending $600-$800 for a family of 4 to attend a park and they "scamming" the system by parking for free at DS. If they are dropping that much for park tickets they aren't the ones using the facilities at a deluxe resort.

For so long, despite the constant price hikes, Disney never felt completely like a walled garden (esp. to locals). This move seems one step closer to that becoming a reality.

WE 👏 DONT 👏 WANT 👏 THIS If they expand it beyond Disney Springs you literally won't be able to travel anywhere without having the exact authorization. So yes, it is death to resort hopping. The amount of money they're going to lose and the amount of guests they're going to inconvenience from this move is utterly insane. Reportedly this is to 'cut back' on the amount of busses and bus drivers resort-wide.

Most of the bus network at Walt Disney World is now going to be paywalled behind an onsite hotel reservation or upcharge activity. There will be not even be an option for guests without either to pay a fare for said buses.

It’s also meant to cut back on crowds from overcrowding resort spaces meant for guests actually paying for resorts and amenities - including limited numbers of seats of transportation.
Resort hopping isn’t something set in stone, even if Disney sells a couple more plushies than normal. Resort-paying guests have always deserved respect.

@Leisure_TimeTV I really hate this. My wife and I have been priced out of Disney Parks and we use this mode of transportation to resort hop. We easily drop $200-$300 on alcohol and food (mostly alcohol). And that before returning to Disney Springs for a night cap.
