I'm not remotely upset to see people say it, because I do think it's a powerful witness to just how evil abortion is, especially when used to kill a child with Down Syndrome. But I don't love the argument being "They are sweet and full of sunshine!" They're valuable regardless.

It is hard to read this and just scroll past as a parent. I am not here to judge them, far from it, but I want to raise a point I haven’t seen raised.
Scripture has never identified biological variance as humanity’s core problem. Romans 3:23 does not say “all have chromosomal anomalies.”
The deficit the Bible diagnoses across every human being is moral, volitional, and relational. A sundering of the image-bearer from its Creator. That is what required redemption and that is what cost God something.

are the defective ones in the room. They are fallen, morally accountable, and spiritually broken adults who require the blood of a covenant to stand before God. The child, not yet at the age of accountability, had not entered that reckoning. David said of his dead infant: “I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.” He was not despairing, but was locating the child somewhere.
The one they considered too broken to live may have been more secure before God than either of them.
It is unfathomable to me that God looked at a spiritually deformed, rebellious, broken humanity and rather than calculate the burden, project the dependency, or conclude the defect was too great, he entered the limitation himself. He took on flesh, was born in a manger, learned to walk, got tired and even wept. The logic of the Incarnation runs in the exact opposite direction from the logic of that termination.
God’s response to the broken was to become vulnerable alongside it.
The final indictment is that Jesse and Ashley exist only because God operates by a completely different currency than the one they applied to their son. The mercy that sustains two spiritually broken adults was not extended to a child whose only defect was an extra chromosome rather than a fallen will.
Down Syndrome is not currency before God, sin is. And on that ledger, the child was significantly richer than his parents.

This week, my wife and I made the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy due to Trisomy 21. The choice was not made lightly. We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we received from fans with no matter what we decided. I know some of you may be very disappointed to hear this news. We are devastated. This has been extremely traumatic for both of us, especially Ashley. She underwent the procedure earlier this week and is on the mend. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, but emotionally we are drained. Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome, is caused by an extra chromosome. It is caused by an error in cell division, like a glitch. The odds of a baby having it is 1 in 1000. When I first confronted this news, I was shocked but optimistic. If they’re a little slow intellectually, then we’ll make it work. I signed on to be a parent, come what may…but I just didn’t fully understand what Down Syndrome entailed. Once we made it public, it became clear that MOST people don’t know what Down Syndrome entails (and no, it’s not the same as Autism): 50% of babies with DS have heart defects. 75% will have hearing challenges. Over 50% will have vision problems. Impaired immune function, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, delayed physical development, poor muscle tone, structural issues with face, decreased lifespan, etc…Sadly, the list is long, feel free to look it up…Down Syndome isn’t a “blessing”, it is objectively shitty from a health perspective. I didn’t realize just how rough it is for the child, let alone the family…more often than not, they would be fully dependent on others for the rest of their life. The miscarriage risk is also close to 50%, which made matters worse…they may never see the light of day and it puts Ashley further at risk. We spoke with doctors, friends, family and genetic counselors and learned that up to 90% of women terminate their pregnancy after learning the baby has Trisomy 21. This was WAY higher than I expected, I thought it would be lower given that I hear so many say they kept or would keep the baby. I believe that’s because most terminations happen privately, it feels shameful. A lot of judgment being cast. You never think you’d be in this type of situation until it happens to you and then things change. To all of my fans who have weighed in on this topic who have Autism, Down Syndrome or any other conditions…we appreciate you. You matter a lot and we’re glad you’re here. I commend you and your families for having the strength and courage to push forward. As for us, we made a difficult decision that we believe in the long-run will be beneficial for our family. Thankfully, we had a choice. It will take a little time to move on, but we are excited to try again in the future and hopefully have a better outcome. Love you guys & thank you for understanding. ❤️

His mother never wanted another after his older brother. And, she was right, she should never have had him. She wasn't capable. She shouldn't have had to do so. Even international law has caught up with the illegality of forcing a woman to continue a pregnancy she didn't want. It is so heinous around the world it is a War Crime since 2002, we can't do those to terrorist. But here in the US it is fine to make that decision for a law abiding Citizen. I read that the baby aborted for having Down syndrome by the YouTuber and his wife yesterday was done so when she was half way through her pregnancy, so I am going to describe in graphic detail what aborting a second trimester baby looks like. Read on at your own discretion.
At 21 weeks the baby is a fully formed miniature human being roughly 10 to 11 inches long from crown to rump weighing about three quarters to one pound. His skin is thin and translucent but covered in fine lanugo hair. He has distinct fingerprints eyelids that can open and close and functioning senses. He can hear your voice and external sounds taste the amniotic fluid and respond to touch. His heart beats strongly. You could feel it if you pressed a hand to the mothers belly. Lungs are developing with practice breaths and he kicks stretches turns and sucks his thumb in the womb. Viability outside the womb is possible with intensive neonatal care in modern hospitals. Many 21 week preemies survive with medical intervention.
A typical 21 week abortion is performed via dilation and evacuation. The process begins by forcibly dilating the mothers cervix over hours or days using laminaria or medications which causes cramping and pain as the body is prepared to expel the child. Then under ultrasound guidance in many cases the abortionist inserts forceps through the birth canal into the uterus.
The baby often still alive and moving is grasped limb by limb. The abortionist twists and pulls tearing off arms and legs one at a time while the child recoils and struggles inside the womb. The smaller bones snap like twigs the joints dislocate with audible pops under the instruments. Blood and amniotic fluid mix as the torso is wrenched apart. The spine is crushed or snapped. Finally the skull is gripped collapsed with the forceps sometimes after being pierced and the brain suctioned out to make removal easier and the remains are extracted piece by piece. The abortionist then reassembles the body parts on a tray to ensure nothing hands feet torso fragments is left inside to cause infection. The mother’s uterus is scraped clean with a curette.
This is not a procedure on tissue. It is the deliberate piecemeal dismemberment of a baby who can feel pain. Fetal pain receptors and neural pathways are active by this stage who reacts defensively to the invasion and whose only crime is existing. The mother carrying this child in her body for nearly five months feeling his movements, knowing his sex, and seeing his ultrasounds chooses to have him torn apart inside her. And in this disgusting case of psychopathic narcissism “for his own good”. She schedules the appointment consents to the crushing and extraction, rests peacefully while her baby is tortured to death because he wasn’t perfect enough for her, and she walks away while the baby’s tiny mutilated body is discarded in a “medical waste” sink to be sent for incineration.
Many women later describe the visceral aftermath. The sudden cessation of kicks the hormonal crash the haunting knowledge that they authorized the destruction of their own baby’s body. It is an act of profound betrayal by the very person biologically wired to protect that life. If the image of a tiny writhing child being methodically ripped apart limb from limb by cold metal tools then sucked or scraped from its mother’s womb does not disgust you regarding the “woman’s choice”, then the propaganda worked on your weak, pathetic soul.

My youngest was born several severe birth defects and disabilities, shes ventilator and oxygen dependent, wheel chair bound and completely non verbal. She requires 24 hour care, and has been in and out of the hospital multiple time since her birth spanning from 5 days to 18 months.
It has been both a massive mental, emotional and finacial difficulty for my family.
And if I could go back knowing what I know now, it still wouldnt justify killing my child. You robbed yourself of experiencing a level of empathy and compassion few ever get the opportunity to develop, enjoy your comfort knowing it was more important that your child.

If you sit down 24000 individual people and ask them to check the same box you will reliably get a ~1% error rate. There is a ton of research on this from form filling across a variety of industries. The only way you get a 0 defect rate over 24K ballots is if a fairly small group of people is consistently filling them out identically.
