@Oscar1051128 @Chesschick01 I don’t have a chip anywhere. You attacked, saying homeschoolers have zero social skills, so I responded. I know dozens of homeschoolers who are adults now and only few, that are introverts, are socially awkward. What said is a lie, plain and simple.

The biggest lie there is. It’s more about personality and being introvert vs extrovert. I knew plenty of people that were socially awkward in public school, my wife and I included, but we are introverts. Our child is homeschooled and is an extreme extrovert. The socially awkward are almost always introverts.

Hulk (2003) isn’t top-tier Ang Lee, but it’s nowhere near the disaster people made it out to be. The split-screen comic framing, and that willingness to do something different with a superhero film. Way more interesting than its reputation.

Waterworld (1995) is over-hated. Strip away the budget jokes and what’s left is a huge, strange, ambitious adventure packed with real stunts and a fully built world. It’s messy, but there’s way more movie there than people remember.

I personally prefer 2-5, but there should be an option for 5.5, because the jump between 5 and 6 is actually kinda crazy. 😂 But if you’re fine, you’re fine and 1-5 is sublime. 🤷🏽♀️

Of course, I should’ve known that my very innocent and funny family story would turn into a bunch of lefties telling me that I should give my 16-year-old free access to the p*rn, propaganda, predators, and other bad actors who might target her on social media etc.
No. Not doing it. And btw, as I said, the girls thought it was funny.
These are sweet, innocent girls and both the other girl’s mom, who I know, and I aim to keep them that way!

Last night, after she’d gone to bed, my 16 y/o daughter receives a text from a friend. (We keep electronics in our room at night). I know my daughter isn’t gonna see it for a while and I know the answer to the girl’s dance-class-related question. So I just pick up the phone and answer it really quick as if I’m my daughter and leave it at that. Tonight, I see her giggling over her phone. I ask what’s up. Apparently, the other girl’s mother had just wanted to get an answer to the question really quick, so she picked up HER daughter’s phone and texted mine as if she were her daughter. (basically both of us were too lazy to go through the rigmarole of explaining, “hi, this is Mrs. So-and-so, and here’s why I’m texting you on your friend’s phone…” But the funny part was how the two girls figured this out. Because the first one was so appalled at seeing her mother‘s perfectly punctuated and capitalized sentences, that she felt she needed to come clean that it was her mom lest my daughter think she is that conscientious. And my daughter, likewise, didn’t want her friend to think that SHE uses correct grammar when texting either. So what I learned today is that it is apparently humiliating to be caught correctly formulating sentences via text.
