#GHRaidersChat I agree, but I think we’re going to have to dig deeper. 1) The forward pack is not at the standards of last year. Not aggressive enough, they loose oomph when the bench forwards come on, the game is much faster but they don’t look like they were primed for Round 1 like they were in 2025. Not winning the middle is cutting down time and space for the young playmakers. 2) The Raiders aren’t getting enough zip out of dummy half, again not as much as last year. There should be more opportunities around the rucks, up the middle under V’landysball 2.0. They’re not getting the forwards on a roll. 3) The Raiders are definitely missing the kicking of Fogarty. The long kicks and attacking kicks are still a work in progress. Thats just going to take time and the Raiders have to stick solid there. And the young halves bring other different skills. But in the meantime, it makes it harder to get out of trouble, and the attacking options arent quite what they were. I think there are some team changes that need to be made, but for the most part, it’d be counterproductive to make too many. We have to accept the road is going to be a bit rocky, while the team gains more experience. - GE
