@Arctotherium_ Pool dynamics are the overlooked variable. Scale across accounts and you're not just managing PnL — you're banking on the pool staying healthy. That's where most multi-account setups unravel.

Tenacity’s model is interesting but it’s your job as a trader to understand what you’re buying into. You’re not just fighting your own PnL. You’re also relying on the competition pool still having money available for payout If the pool hits equilibrium from my understanding your payout goes to 0 So yes, you can be profitable… and still have the payout side become the real issue. That’s the part people must talk about. If the pool is 100k all that takes is 10 traders across 5 accounts to get to 52k and now the payouts are cooked? Then if they have the issue of having to pause the competition repeatedly then no one is going to buy more accounts No accounts = No pool Now if every trader jumps in and pumps it then this will be like fast track trading. This is all from my minimal research and understanding for the firm. Do your own DD and don’t take my opinions as advice

@TheSoupRoom The timing is the hard part. Knowing when confirmation is valid vs noise. That's also why manual execution across multiple accounts breaks down — by the time you're in on #5, #1 already moved. Good setups + bad execution = still a loss.

@Jabaluck Exactly — GDP assumes labor is the bottleneck. Once automation changes that, you're measuring the wrong thing. Genuine welfare or capability approaches might be the better frame.

In worlds where you get full automation and a production explosion, GDP ceases to be a decent proxy for welfare. We should really be forecasting other metrics in those worlds. (1/n)

@jakeeytrades The execution challenge with 10-20 accounts though is keeping all your rules consistent. One slip-up in position sizing or a missed stop and your edge disappears. That's exactly why automation becomes critical at scale.

@Mayhem4Markets I just read so many conflicting things. What do you think a realistic budget needs to be for a powerful local system?

One reason I prefer to use local AI? You never know when your provider will rug pull the quality of their models. All of these plans that are being sold are heavily subsidized by the companies selling them. That is to say, when you pay $20 or $200/month, the company is selling that access at a significant loss. In the case of Anthropic, at least, the post below claims the big reason behind selling discounted access as a loss leader was to get enterprises interested in signing up. Apparently that worked, and now their models are being served at lower quality to subscribers vs enterprise TaaS (tokens-as-a-service) customers. These aren't problems that you have with local AI. You control the hardware, inference engine and model layer. I think we'll see local AI become an even bigger theme in 2026 for these reasons and more.
