Another weird incident today. Another volunteer is using my pop-up along highway 1A. He texted me just as I was heading downtown to do my call-in show on the @WesternStandar1 "Something odd happening here. There are two mini vans sitting with eyes on me. One in xxxxx' old spot, and one in the field approach 100 yds east. Both have been here for more than half an hour. " I got that message at 12:10 pm, and dispatched another volunteer to join them. I told them I would swing by on my way back around 3:00 pm. I mentioned the two vans in my show. 1/

A ship called the local port authority requested permission to dock as they had run out of water. They were denied permission! Multiple ships are in the same condition, with stores, food and fuel running low. Ports are overwhelmed and security is such that they are refusing permission for ships to dock. UPDATE on the beautiful little warrior Maya. From her mom Cia: “She has come a long way since the beginning. And now she is aware of herself and surroundings. I made 2 Paddles "yes" and "no" she can stare at one to answer questions.. Where she hurts. Whats wrong.. Shes aware shes in a body that's broken right now. I should be celebrating these milestones. Update from Maya's mom posted at 7 minutes ago. Tomorrow (in 3.5 hours) Maya is set for surgery. Her 4th one total. She is finally getting a prosthetic piece of her skull put in place, in lou of the one she had, that was fractured to bits from a bullet.. A month and a half, feels like a fog.. The first week, trying to argue faith whe. Everyone around argued facts, but she still improved. Despite expectations. She lived, she moved, she coughed, she saw (through one eye). A Rollercoaster of set backs, infections, surgeries, leaks, and she is back on track again. Still no movement in her entire right side. Still cannot talk. She struggles to swallow, she can kick one leg, and throw one hand (lefts). Her eye... her one good on open eye.. he stares into mine and I see her. She is fighting. Tomorrow should be the day the piece is set, and we work ot way out of ICU. Maybe (?) New infection, on her brain, leaking from the previous stitches. I am watching it get bigger.. Maybe another set back?. To be determined. Im sad for her that she has another hill to climb, And also slightly in awe. Her hand movements right now are deliberately grabbing the areas that hurt, her good leg is kicking herself into position. Her neck is moving, shes turning her head (thats new). Her lips are mouthing (ow) She keeps getting sedated, and this may be the most coherent and deliberate movements ive seen her make... grabbing her sore head, and grabbing at me while I tell her it will be ok someday. Im not sure if im disappointed or impressed. I do know I probably won't sleep, however.
