If you have been paid by a client to do work, DO 👏 THE 👏 WORK 👏 Sure, emergencies can come up, but to have active YCHs and other art pumping out and leaving clients waiting for over 6 months to over a year makes you look like you dont want to do it.

Do non artist ever think about the fact that that’s 10 hours and usually MORE of our time too? I charge about $150 for reference sheets and oftentimes I take 12-15 hours on them. That’s $12.5-$10 hours in average. We need to make a living too omg.

Commission prices are out of control. Simple as. 300 bucks for a ref sheet or basic drawing?? Hell no. That's 10 HOURS of my life I would have had to spend to be able to afford that. Actually, it's definitely more than that because the government taxes wages.
