Today - S-92 incident in Rio de Janeiro. Helicopter abruptly lost altitude, crew was able to recover before hitting sea. According to Aero_In, the incident was due to unspecified technical issues. The video also shows onboard footage. From the conversation, the passengers believed it was a joke 😅thankfully, all ended well. Helicopter was operated by "Lider Taxi Aéreo SA", the incident occurred after taking off from Jacarepaguá airport. Updates when possible.

@WeatherProf Having just come from Kauai last week the micro climates in Hawaii are so crazy. Closest thing I can compare it to is Bay Area but on steroids. Wild to see extreme amounts and then hardly any rain so close together on these maps/islands

Insane rain... Look closely. Since March 1st around 3 feet of rain has fallen across the Hawaiian Islands. Some spots have had more. And not just one island... All of the islands higher peaks have seen ~30"+.

Today I learned that if the officials don’t show up to an NHL game for whatever reason and nobody can agree on replacements, both teams just … pick a player. The player from the home team acts as referee while the visiting player gets to be a linesman. This is an actual NHL rule
