@SantiagoAuFund Here’s a secret for anyone that has not realised. MSTR is being sold and BTC purchasing has ceased because big players are coordinating capital for the SpaceX Tesla Merger. They will sell when the time is right and pile back into bitcoin. They are playing a very profitable game.

Don't worry. If $120 gives way there is plenty of support at $9.

@JackRiches1 @Con_Tomlinson @LBC @TomSwarbrick1 Murder is a crime by statute, murder is always a crime because it is a crime by definition. Rape is not a crime in certain cultures in marriage and was rarely a crime in wartime throughout history. People are always emotional over these subjects but that is why we have bad laws.

@Con_Tomlinson @LBC @TomSwarbrick1 The death penalty is a bad idea for one simple reason. It implies that a modern society has the right to take life because someone does not comply with its abstract rules. This option then precludes & eliminates a more honest judgement - banishment to a place outside of society.

Even if I were to concede that the death penalty doesn't work as I deterrent — and I don't — it is still the right thing to do. The moral ledger is imbalanced if criminals receive punishments less severe than the atrocities they commit, and if the taxes of grieving families are spent on feeding and housing their tormentor. The death penalty is necessary. It is the only way to keep our families safe, and it is the only language these savages understand.

@donmcgowan What is the value in this post? If intelligent & reasonable people are discussing whether it does or doesn’t exist like adults, someone who just proclaims one side or the other like they have supernatural knowledge just proves themselves to be an intellectual and emotional child.

I see that #TwoTierPolicing is the top trending item this morning. Let's make this very simple — it does not exist in the UK. It is a racist dog whistle invented by the far-right, Reform UK.

Both the Tories and Reform are now saying the kirpan should be banned. This is totally wrong. The kirpan is a key article of the Sikh faith. An entire community cannot be tarred by the horrendous actions of one person.
Charlie Peters@CDP1882

Robert Jenrick has told @GBNEWS that Reform UK would ban the kirpan, the Sikh ceremonial knife, being carried in public after the murder of Henry Nowak. The differing rules on knives being allowed in public have been described as another example of two-tier justice.

I have to give it to @ElonMusk. Every time I open X, it becomes clearer that the people who live on this app are operating in a completely different reality from the rest of us. He didn’t build a town square. He built a safe space for the worst people in society to thrive. Kudos, Elon. 📱🧵 #ElonMusk #X #SocialMedia #Tech #OnlineExtremism

1/5 I'm a cardiologist. I have spent twenty years watching cholesterol destroy arteries, trigger heart attacks, and kill people I care about. Today, Eli Lilly presented data that may begin to end that era. VERVE-102. A single infusion. One dose. It uses base editing to permanently turn off the PCSK9 gene in your liver. Presented today at the European Atherosclerosis Society Congress: 88% reduction in PCSK9. 62% reduction in LDL cholesterol. Sustained up to 18 months. No treatment-related serious adverse events. One infusion. Not daily pills you forget to take. Not monthly injections. One dose — and your cholesterol may stay low for the rest of your life.

Let me get this straight, Andy Burnham’s great achievement is £2 bus fares at a cost of £135m to the public and £200m a year ongoing. LMAO, he is going to be a disaster.

@ZoeJardiniere Sorry Zoe you’ve completely misread the situation. They don’t care about the Greens because their vote is capped and Green voters would never vote reform. They are terrified however of Restore and all recent policy changes are now about combating voter drift that direction.

@DeborahMeaden Deborah I will explain the problem to you because you are rich and so the consequences of this don’t affect you. Heat pump dryers are cheaper in electric but they trade this off in earlier mechanical breakdown. So whole life cost is greater. But it puts less stress on the grid.

@PeterMcCormack @dodgson_sally @NoHoldsPod It’s becoming truer that most wealthy Americans come from wealthy homes, whereas wealthy Americans used to work their way up from the working classes. Unfortunately most American commentators on X don’t realise not everyone in the world is American.

Imagine being a nepobaby multi millionaire peddling independant coffee. How many of your staff have to claim UC? Whats your coffee king salary? They're trying to wipe out SMEs Peter. If you watched @NoHoldsPod you'd already know this.
Peter McCormack 🏴‍☠️🇬🇧🇮🇪@PeterMcCormack

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.
