Why oh why do I rent from #Hertz at LAX. This is the line for Gold. No preassigned cars and we can’t just pick from the Presidents Circle lane. They have staff here who aren’t wanting to talk to us.

@CTOAdvisor The dark side isn’t talking about just bias, though. They are talking about not letting some people exist. They are telling women to quit their jobs and go back into the kitchen. I get your point. Really. But I’m worried about a lot of people I care about.

What’s my opinion on the race for President? I’ll keep it focused on careers. No one will save YOUR career. Presidents have an impact on regulations and selects who will set interest rates. But no one is going to force you to attend that Meet Up and meet that mentor that will take you from engineer to architect. Neither candidate will join that open source project and give you real world experience. That you must do on your own. Without a doubt, based on who’s elected, they may set the temperature for the bias you’ll encounter, you still have to show up. You want to win? Show up. Show up at the ballot and show up when it’s time to put in the work.

Okay, I'm just going to throw this out there, but maybe - just maybe - a vendor having the ability to change every one of their kernel drivers in the field at the same time without any approval from IT/end users is a model we need to reconsider... @CrowdStrike.
