Lucknow IT in Lucknow - A Never-Ending Wait Game Lakhs of Youngsters of Lucknow and UP, are working in IT & ITeS or related sector, away from their homes, in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and other cities. They all long to come back to Lucknow so that they can live close to the families and save money also. However this longing keep getting longer. Lucknow, despite having all the amenities and talent pool, still a laggard city in this area. Many smaller towns are faring far better than Lucknow to attract IT companies to set up their base. A beacon of HOPE had arrived when State Gov & LDA Planned following Projects at the turn of this year - 1- Ultra Modern AI City in 40 Acres Area in Amausi 2- Deloitte to set up its center in Lucknow 3- LDA to setup grand IT city at Sultanpur Road For the AI City a very attractive tender was floated with much fanfare. I was very closely following up the tender. Tender was opened on 29 Feb 2024. However, somehow the bidder information was not revealed and since then there are no updates anywhere. In January this year, Deloitte informed in Davos 2024, that they will set up a center in Lucknow with in 6 months. 6 Months are about to complete, hope the center gets open now. But there are no updates in this regard as well. LDA takes a lot of time to set up a township so LDA IT City is anyhow a farfetched project which will take shape slowly, if it does. So, for Lucknowites, its still a dream to work in the IT sector in their own sweet hometown. We are still longing to see Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, PwC etc in the City. I sincerely request State Government @CMOfficeUP @UPGovt and our CM @myogiadityanath to take cognizance of this. It will be of great help and immense pleasure for people of Lucknow working outside to get a chance to return. #Lucknow #UttarPradesh #YogiAdityanath #IT
