@failurenotfinal @Selwyn1750 I personally don't know that parish but if someone added it to the map it's most likely from someone in the group. I'd suggest joining our discord and seeing why they consider this parish worth to add to the map.

I really don’t get “reconquista”. Why would I bring myself and my family into a lib church in the hopes it would be reclaimed? I’m not subjecting myself and family to pastrix Susan or the milquetoast lib male pastor who thinks NT Wright is the best.

(TEC) We don't advocate for anyone attending an overtly heretical church. In denser populated area where multiple parishes exist our hope is to identify the church in best theological standing and strengthen those with numbers. For the majority of small parishes throughout the nation (often the only church available) most of the time, even if the parish leans heavily (theologically) liberal the congregation is few and aged. Most would be surprised how much more the parish cares about getting younger motivated families in and keeping them over their ideologies. A few younger theologically conservative members who truly dedicate themselves to the betterment of the church can have significant impact. Clergy turnover in most TEC parishes is relatively frequent and vestry plays a huge role. A few strengthened parishes can have significant impact on the tone of the diocese. Let alone if they start getting representation on the standing committees. The road is certainly long but, should it be pleasing in His sight, time is on our side.

Virginia just voted to redraw their maps ahead of the upcoming midterms to favor Democrats 10-1. Last December in Indiana, 21 Senate Republicans joined with Democrats to openly reject President Trump and vote against redistricting. Conservative Hoosiers should be livid tonight. I know I am.

@andrewpprice @sean_gause I get both sides of this. It is serious and profound loss that so much artistry is - inevitably - going to be lost/taken over by AI. But I don't think the pile on @andrewpprice is fair. He is telling the truth whether we like it or not.

@sean_gause I still sketch because it's fun. But if it's work I choose the fastest tool. Saying out loud that one day a client will want you to use AI workflows if it's faster, is frankly, obvious.

Self-appointed "Blender Guru" is now advocating for AI generating assets in Meshy instead of actually using Blender, and saying artists will be replaced if they don't use generative AI. I can't believe I used to look up to you.

Yes, I'm a Catholic, but I have a deep respect for my faithful Protestant & Orthodox brethren. We are allies, not enemies. Whatever disagreements we may have with each other pale in comparison to those we have with non-believers. It's time for us to unite.

@NatHalberstadt There is truth to this but for the vast majority of people that I see using AI around me - there is a massive cognitive unloading happening and they are definitely losing skills. And the temptation is extremely strong to do so. We need better formation on how to use AI well.

If AI is degrading your capacity, you're using the wrong tools, or not using the tools properly.

True artists are going to use whatever tools they have to tell their stories. True artists don't ask for permission. It doesn't matter if it's AI or Traditional. Hollywood hates this because it limits their power and control. True artists love this.

@ImKingGinger @DisgustingFilm0 Yes. This is true - but I think you are being flippant here. The AI tools are incredible but it seems pretty clear they will wipe out basically all incentive to ever develop any skill other than “prompt wizard”. Why learn to draw, sculpt, make music when AI does it for you?
