The Trump Administration has HUGE PR problem on its hands and the TOP people need to understand what's happening to them in local media, including Kansas City. Situation: We have ICE raids happening. You get the Anti-ICE cavalry filming these arrests. They feed these videos to local media. The citizen "journalists" get on TV, push their propaganda, and it gets plastered all over the local news. What we never get is information as to why a person was detained/arrested. Who are they? What are they accused of having done? This is happening all over the country. The local TV stations do "reach out" to DHS, but by the time there is any response, if there is one, everyone moves onto the next story. Then, it's rinse & repeat. DHS and the administration need to get on this immediately and stop trying to fix things with posts in the echo chamber of social media, where the only way you will see what they want you to see is if the algorithm thinks you want it. The impressionable people who need to see it won't see it. Local media is still very relevant and matters. AND people follow it and it makes a difference. It should NOT be that hard to pass on information as to why specific people are being detained. DHS is a bloated government agency (redundant, I know). Get a group that is on this non-stop, all day. They will win the PR battle when regular people realize what the allegations are against those being detained/arrested. But in the meantime, they're losing this PR battle all over the country with hundreds of stories that don't get the national attention, but still get millions of eyeballs combined, in communities all over the country.
