It’s not like I can’t respect tennis. The sport. From a distance on some of the details. And such. I’d never hate on the athletes who are amazing. I definitely can’t play.

@MrLeadslinger These days, if I have any sort of extended break, I'll knock out 1 or 2 what I call acclimation workouts purely to manage the soreness. Low weight, low to medium volume. Feel way too easy but I know it takes the edge off the real soreness when I go back to normal.

Took a long break from lifting weights and I can’t explain why. Got started back to it on Monday and the muscle soreness is next level stuff. Best bet is to start working out and stick with it forever.
Also, getting old sucks.

@Mattman261 @ChefGruel Even home cooked food degrades quickly when different dishes finish at different times. Those roasted carrots are totally different 5 minutes later while you're waiting for the kids to wash their hands or the chicken to finish. Take out and delivered food suffers so much.

Food delivery has killed brands. Too often I hear from people who speak poorly about a new spot, or a great restaurant, they tell me they got it via door dash or uber eats. It was cold, soggy, etc. then they never go visit again as opposed to eating fresh hot food on site. It’s a real risk doing delivery and it rarely pays off, that’s why most restaurant itemize it as a marketing expense.

I’m at the point where I simply want to cry about this.
I’m using the toxic tar shampoo, taking expensive pro-biotics, drinking homemade bone broth on an empty stomach, putting hydrocortisone cream on it….and still it’s there. All the time. What am I supposed to do???

Woke up to no water. Took pictures of well setup, asked Grok to walk me through troubleshooting.
Pressure switch contact had wiggled loose.
Had water again in 15 mins. Grok even found replacement parts nearby so I can stock critical spares.

At this point in time, there is no better job for Tommy Lloyd than @ArizonaMBB. If you don’t want to call the Wildcats a “blueblood,” that’s fine. But he’s not leaving for North Carolina or the other “blue bloods” that could open next year. Just spend a basketball weekend in Tucson to understand that.

can I ask a probably stupid but genuine question about ozempic? if the main way it works is by suppressing hunger and causing you to eat way less, are there strict guidelines to make sure you get enough nutrients in your diet? or are people getting malnourished?

@hjluks Time-Under-Tension is what I was told years ago when a nagging groin/adductor tendon was causing me significant grief for months. I started squeezing a foam roller between my legs a few times/day and the pain relief was almost immediate. It works.

Tendons heal under load. Appropriate, progressive load.
Early on: side-lying abduction holds, wall press isometrics, controlled step-downs.
Later: loaded carries, single-leg hinges, Bulgarian squats.
Clamshells with a band are a starting point — not a destination. You need to progress well beyond them.
This takes 3–8 months. Sometimes longer. There's no shortcut, but there is a path.

The decision to deploy slides is not one taken lightly. Thankfully, nobody appears hurt. Somewhat curious that the stair truck appears to begin deplaning passengers when the slides blow.
Watching the passengers scatter while vehicles zoom around makes me very nervous.
