Once you actually speak Japanese you realize most translations are actually alright, you just nitpick because you don’t know enough nuance and translate every words literally

@WanderinTNo @fortayee Yeah, exactly. Menu combat works fine in a turn-based format, but when you go real time with pause it becomes a hassle. Square's answer to that were gambits, which are a cool idea for sure, but together they end up turning the majority of FFXII into an idle game.
