Sobering read today: "A century earlier Heinrich Heine—a German poet of Jewish origin—had said, “Where one burns books, one will, in the end, burn people.” In Nazi Germany the time between the burning of Jewish books and the burning of Jews was eight years."

Sad news indeed, but cracking up over the "average" instructor salary being north of $60k. Outside of the coasts and major interior cities, you'd be hard pressed to find anything above $45k.

@RyanBJonesy @paulg Bummed around Europe for a couple of months with a 3 month old, camped in Hawaii for a few weeks when he was a year old, lots of smaller trips in between traveling with a little one so far is lovely.

@paulg My sister is one of few who I've seen live this way. With 7 kids under age 10 they drove from SLC, UT to Buenos Aires. Lived there for a couple months, then drove down to Ushuaia and then all the way back to UT. I've realized she doesn't factor pain as part of her decisions

"If I want to travel somewhere after I have kids, I'll just take them with me." I've heard this sentiment expressed fairly often in the future tense, but almost never in the present or past tense.
