I wanted to buy an external hard drive just to clear out my phone × computer storage... & damn, the prices have gone crazy expensive. Wondering if it’s related to all the AI hype & data centers.
Hard drives are doubling in price, even RAM + memory cards are skyrocketing. The mess in the Strait of Hormuz is causing helium shortages (which chip factories need), bringing up shipping/energy costs.
I bought this 256 GB USB for $26 last year, now it costs $80 USD. I bought the 1TB hard drive for $80 & now it is almost $300. I would rather invest in a new phone instead of paying all that just to transfer all my photos to a screen-less device.

La Spagna ha già avviato i trámites ufficiali con la @DGTes. Dopo l’approvazione della RDW nei Paesi Bassi, anche l’Italia deve muoversi rapidamente.
È il momento di inviare una richiesta formale al @mitgov_it per accelerare il riconoscimento del #FSD Supervised.
Con decine di migliaia di Tesla sulle nostre strade, la sicurezza stradale non può attendere.
