@2much_flavour @Asa_Sigoxo Not true as well. They can still be inflated under contract. The issue here is Collusion no matter whether it is RFQ or Contract.

@Asa_Sigoxo She’s not accurate as these components were not under contract instead they were acquired by utilising the RFQ process hence most of the invoices were less the R1 million. If they were under contract it was gonna be impossible to inflate the prices.

@MusaMzilikazi Also, at this point in time, she should have employed services of an attorney, the dealership will not take responsibility for anything unless they are mandated by a court of law, that's how these dealerships are, unfortunately.

@JackiePhamotse Cosmo city is not a great example my sister. The decay from the booming rental industry led to over usage of services without much payment and no approvals. Every second house in cosmo city has 10 rooms that COJ doesn’t know of. Why do we submit building plans in the first place?

@ewnupdates Load Shedding = Eskom’s capacity produced (grid) cannot meet demand nationwide. Load Reduction = Demand and usage at local level exceeds the installed infrastructure leading multiple outages because of illegal connections and undeclared buildings e.g backrooms etc

@tumisole Non/low payment, proliferation of back rooms that many municipalities know nothing about which is not catered for in the installed infrastructure. Demand far exceeds the capacity that is installed in those locations.

Yesterday I was in Katlehong and they had Loadshedding there. In Soweto, Dobsonville, they even have Loadshedding schedules and Abo Gogo and Aunties who often take care of families are left to bear the brunt. They call it Power Outages. The poor and vulnerable can never be forgotten whilst us in Suburbia Mzansi applaud on X! Journalists need to visit these communities and tell their stories, this is in now way being anti-government but we got to be honest about what does ‘328 days without Loadshedding’ mean in the real sense. #CountryDuty

@tumisole Sir, a person of your stature would know matters of electricity collections in those areas are pretty much low. It’s a political hot potato that can’t be resolved and will remain that way. What is Eskom to do to protect infrastructure that supplies many more communities?

@City_Press SETAs collect monies from levy paying organisations but in turn find it hard redistribute back to those organisations. Instead they waste most of those levies on programmes and individuals that primarily provide zero benefit to development of skills then DHED celebrates after.

Panyaza Lesufi, Gauteng Premier, said there are 4786 functional street lights while 669 are dysfunctional across the province. “We fix today, they are vandalised tomorrow,” said Lesufi, during the State of the Province Address. TCG

@jozivsjozi Why didn’t the residents or owners do something about this. Their property prices are doomed. The people who stay in those informal settlements probably work for them. That’s why houses need to be built with domestic quarters.

@SgoRambo @MohauSam That’s rough. They were proper when I last used it around 2021. Played Basketball after each session. Only thing putting me off was driving through SA drive to get there and the underground parking being dodgy.

We’ve found another brothel in the Pretoria CBD. This one operated by Nigerian nationals. We found dozens of women inside rooms at the establishment called Savoy VIP Lounge. They rent the rooms for R1000 a week. This brothel is hidden behind a sports bar. We inspected the establishment and closed it with TMPD. All the women we interacted with were foreign nationals- some had legal documentation and others did not. @CityTshwane
