It's official. I am finished w/ data collection WITH 100% completion on the last survey!! 😭🎉This was a tough 14 weeks but I made it 🙌. I almost cried at every submission...at every👏dang👏survey👏. I have T-minus-19 days until everything is due. Graduation - here I come!

Rules of engineer’s life: 1. See failure as a beginning, not an end. 2. Never stop learning. 3. Assume nothing, question everything. 4. Teach others what you know. 5. Analyze objectively. 6. Practice humility. 7. Respect constructive criticism. 8. Give credit where it’s due. 9. Take initiative. 10. Ask the tough questions early. 11. Love what you do or leave.

It’s about that time, y’all. CLASS LISTS. Administrators across the country are meticulously finalizing class lists, and teachers are anxiously waiting to see which kids will become their new babies for 180 school days. It’s also that time of year where the chatter starts… …about THAT kid. The one who has a reputation for being “low”. The one who “can’t behave.” The one who is “lazy”. The one who _______. Don’t be the teacher who judges a child based on another person's opinion. 🔹Every kid deserves a reset. 🔺Every kid deserves more chances. 🔹Every kid deserves a champion. Many kids are on the road to failure because of reasons beyond their control. Be the person who redirects their path this year. Be their merchant of hope! People don’t need us to be merchants of hope during the easy times. It is in the darkest moments that they need their merchant of hope to selflessly carry them through the storm. We chose the profession where we are helping raise other people’s kids. As you receive your class lists over the next few days, receive them with love, clean slates, and lots of grace. The reality? We are all doing this really hard thing called “life” in the best and only way we know how. Never judge a child based on another person’s opinion. And while we’re at it, let’s replace "child" with "person" (friend, colleague, parent, acquaintance, stranger). Patient. Loving. Understanding. Forgiving. Grace giving. These are the attributes of a person who can reach another person's heart and change their pathway. I have so much work to do on myself so that I can better help others. I'm especially thankful for grace. #multiplyexcellence
