Mr. Padilla was told repeatedly to back away and did not comply with officers’ repeated commands. @SecretService thought he was an attacker and officers acted appropriately.
Secretary Noem met with Senator Padilla after and held a 15 minute meeting.

My favorite thing about hat leagues in Boston is there are just random League allstars that have never played club, never plan to play club, and they are just ghouling on players that go to nationals.

@skiwithkevin Years and years ago (spring of '99), on the Slovakian side, a town called Vysna Boca. Fairly small hill but lots of random off-piste terrain, beautiful little place in the mountains, buddy and I spent <$100 total for 9 days of skiing/lodging/food/beer.

@being_ulti As for outreach, the short answer is we don't do enough. BUDA's starting to put together a real marketing strategy for the first time, and this is one of the focuses of that effort.

@tallape Ya I've played in both RIPUL and BUDA leagues and noticed the same thing. But curious about what outreach you do to maintain those numbers, or do they just kind of naturally stay static around that level because of college talent/people moving there, etc.

How do you all recruit brand new FMP to leagues in your area? Looking to hear from areas that are lacking in a local college pipeline. If Hawai'i leagues have 110 people sign up, it's usually around 80-30 men to women. Advertising? Hope for the best? Work with other local sports?

@being_ulti Around 2014 I ran an analysis going back through the entire league database (going back to 1998ish), and the number hadn't changed meaningfully. It was something like 33% FMP in 2002, 35% in 2014, IIRC.
