@SamsoTV You will have a King who gives great bonuses to your troops when he is with them, but he also brings major disadvantages if he dies in battle. I might implement a small dynasty feature.

@AKorman1922 @tec_enterprise Yeah no dumas it's the classic germ scum trope of saying Charlemagne was German, no he conquered the germs, christianized and civilized them avenging Tolbiac that's why clarifying it matters.

@Mephisto_xxxx I have castle sieges and cool trebuchets. The game itself is built on a much larger scale, resulting in far better performance. And with the current development speed of Manor Lords, this game will be finished much earlier.

The starting date is difficult, and historians keep debating it. In the early years, they didn't name it the 'Holy Roman Empire'. Technically, the prefix 'Holy' was added in 1157... But Charlemagne was crowned Roman Emperor in Rome by the Pope in 800. So, for me, this is where everything started.

@Lunalotlz The setting for this game is exclusively the Holy Roman Empire. I definitely plan to create future games featuring different empires and eras.

@tec_enterprise That combat footage looks a little janky. The soldiers are moving their legs while standing still. I really do like the squad based unit system though.

@turcusmagnus The main focus is building medieval cities and villages. Fans of Manor Lords, Banished, and Farthest Frontier will be very familiar with the economic and building aspects. But medieval without towers, walls, archers, and trebuchets just isn't medieval! 😉

@tec_enterprise How is the economy build? Is it like manor lords or farthest frontier kind or more rts than eco management?

@sudnafen At first, you must grow your cities and claim the ducal title in your province. Then, you will fight other provinces within the HRE to become Emperor yourself. In the late game, massive battles may await, as you defend the HRE against France and other foreign powers.

@tec_enterprise Set in HRE, as in you will be one of the duchies/cities/kingdoms etc, and will fight other duchies/cities/kingdoms inside HRE? Or also different countries?

@ThomasFrn Better performance for large games. It is also easier to find suitable assets that fit together. As a solo dev it is much easier to use this style than realistic graphics. This allows me to focus on gameplay development.

@AlexMillar91979 I am sure you wouldn't watch a video of a trebuchet firing 20 times on that tower :-) there is no one shot trebuchet in the game ;-)

@tec_enterprise Looks cool but as a fan of the genre I think you can make your game truly stand out by giving it some character. Most of the city builders out now have very intricate simulations, but completely lack in worldbuilding and any charm whatsoever.
