I used to watch Majembe doing his “majembe majembe” videos with his low-quality camera. Luckily, enough people loved him. A boy from Onyatto came from Kisumu to Nairobi, played and won against Alfayo. Yesterday, he went for the most awaited fight in the ring,probably the most anticipated fight in Kenyan history and he delivered. A boy from Kisumu with no hype, just from an ordinary village. That’s why I’m sure he didn’t have all that PR for marketing, unlike Mbavu, who was good at it. He was talkative, probably because of the language.
