@LemorasCards There are many bannings in other formats for the sake of the game's health and I feel like EDH players would be the only people to justify Nadu, Sensei's Divining Top, Oko or Mental Misstep in a format like Legacy while saying "just run more removal lolz"

@spuki__ The gameplay dynamics that card creates are the mainissue, and it has become more and more annoying specially at higher power
Removing it helps the rest of the table, countering it puts you behind the rest/without protection so the meta is warped around playing your own copy

@siziyman @Brewers_Kitchen Land destruction just messes up with anyone in colors without land recursion or permanent protection, is not viable as a strategy even at a high level of play and it also benefits green players the most since they have the fastest ways of recovering from it lmao

@Brewers_Kitchen the issue is not the green per se, it's the fact that a large enough portion of the commander audience considers interacting with green ramp socially unacceptable - and at best it's land destruction (which is also VERY expensive mana-wise compared to any other 'anti-ramp")

I feel like some people think it's a flex to claim they like stax or that others are weak for disliking it.
If somebody invites you to play basketball, but then deflates the ball and makes you wear flip-flops, it's perfectly valid to say that it sucks the fun out of the game 😮💨

@Ashlizzlle_ Badgermole is creating a hostile environment, seriously? There's a hundred fold of very cheap cards to bury/exile the dang thing. I can never keep the thing out for more than 1 turn. I legit just use Cub to earthbend Fabeled Passage.
Complaints on Cub is so overblown.

Sadly the speed at which a standard deck has to operate and the hostile environment the badgermole and izzet decks create that results into a miserable player experience is not something they care about :/

@BDEgameowners Rather than removing it and helping the other two players what became more viable is to drop your own Rhystic/Remora/Esper to leech out of the other players as well, and at that point you will never see people saying 'just pay the two', it becomes 'just draw the out lmao'

@OfficalRavioli I've seen a lot 60-card players whine about Commander more than trying to promote their own formats, and while I enjoy playing Pauper/Modern/Legacy I feel like that attitude keeps people away from testing other formats :p

People always say "Don't learn magic by playing commander!" and then give a million good reasons why you shouldn't. And they're wrong, sorry! I would not have stuck with magic if all my first experiences were sweaty 1v1 games. The gathering (with 3 friends) is what drew me.
