Can we take social justice and political issues out of sports, please? They're supposed to be fun. This makes them much less fun.

@JacobsFieldRBW They weren't told they could opt out of wearing the hat. They were *forced* to wear it.

No Giants players have ever *once* written a Bible verse on their hats Pride night rolls around and 3 Giants players write Bible verses on hats for the first times in their careers—hats that they *didn’t even have to wear* It’s hate. Accept the social consequences for it, loser
Blake Niemann@Blakes_Take2

D-backs pitcher Ryan Thompson, who is a proclaimed Christian, spoke on the MLB warning SF Giants players who wrote Bible verses on Pride Night caps: "I think there's a perceived negativity with this stuff. Landen Roupp wrote a verse on his hat that means he's anti something. That doesn't mean that. It means that he's pro something. So the rainbow means something to him. It means that he believes in the Noahic Covenant being something that's special to us as Christians."

@Rfisher41 @DrDiGiorgio @Chillcatser @MaryBowdenMD No doctors office I've ever worked for has done this. It's a good idea if the money goes to the right place. But they don't charge for every message you send, either. Just the ones that end up with a different treatment plan.

@twomewtoo @DrDiGiorgio @Chillcatser @MaryBowdenMD This is another example of how patients are misinformed and wrongly accuse doctors of greed due to employer actions. The doctor does not get the money paid for MyChart messages-the employer does.

Imagine if every passenger on an airplane had a direct line to the pilot. That’s what medicine has become. We have embraced frictionless communication and that not a good thing. With things like Epic Chat, every member of the healthcare team has immediate access to the physician. Now there’s a constant stream of minor questions. It’s discouraged people from thinking critically. “Just ask the doctor,” has replaced any sort of clinical reasoning. When I was a resident, we had an answering service. Anyone who wanted to reach the doctor needed to go through a third party. This provided triage and accountability. If we were getting called in the middle of the night for stool softener orders, there was a record of that. A little friction in communication is a good thing.

@Rfisher41 @DrDiGiorgio @Chillcatser @MaryBowdenMD That's not what I'm saying. I fully support doctors charging for this. Using Epic message to replace an office visit should be charged for. I'm not sure how the back end for this works because this is the only office I've ever seen do it.

🚨 Our investigational triple agonist helped people lose weight, but that’s not all according to data shared at ADA 2026. See more about the obesity-related conditions it helped in our study.

@DrDiGiorgio @Chillcatser @MaryBowdenMD I don't know how many other offices are starting to do this- but my GI office will charge an office visit for some epic messages now. I think it's a great idea.

@Chillcatser @DrDiGiorgio @MaryBowdenMD Physician's time should be spent answering questions that only physicians can answer- or questions that need physician attention. Not all of them do.

@DrDiGiorgio @MaryBowdenMD Terrible analogy. If you don’t want to deal with patients and their concerns don’t be a physician.

@JoinCrowdHealth @seandparnell @mcuban Like me- I had an internal hernia that caused a bowel obstruction). So yeah, routine hernia repairs can be done relatively cheap. But the only time money doesn't matter is when OOP max is hit.

This isn't accurate. Most people have deductibles, anda higher out of pocket max. During the deductible phase, you absolutely pay out of pocket and should be able to price shop, and count against your deductible the best price you can find. Where the shopping analogy falls apart is AFTER you hit your deductible and OOP max. Then you can spend other people's money on your care. Distorting the entire market
CrowdHealth@JoinCrowdHealth

We’ve said it once, we’ll say it again. You don’t compare prices for healthcare because, in the vast majority of cases, you aren’t the one paying for it. If you don’t have to pay for it who cares what the prices are. What would happen to prices at the grocery store if shoppers were paying with someone else’s credit card?
