Now that the 2x May codex limits offer is over, it feels as though @OpenAI has halved the usage limits of the plus plan too, which is strange because plus users never even received 2x usage in the first place. I suspected they would do this but maybe I'm wrong and its placebo

@paarangatrai Do you use the cli or a gateway? I put mine on a vps too and I've just connected it to discord and manage it almost entirely from my phone. Quality obviously isn't as good as if I actively work on it but it's nice for background tasks.

@sagidevsoftware @athcanft Well he runs paid targeted ads so I feel like it's different. His users have high intent and he probably also runs some sort of review request in his onboarding before the paywall. But I feel like hard paywalled apps with organic marketing on tiktok are more prone to bad reviews.

@umairdotdev @athcanft guy is the good case of that and maybe he will be up to answer. as i analyzed, his apps are hard paywalled in really rude way i can say xD but yet not getting bad reviews at all. what is the reason?

is hard paywall better than freemium in case of mobile apps?

@sagidevsoftware Agreed but I notice a lot of hard paywalled apps have loads of good reviews and hardly any bad ones somehow. You think it's a case of botting or what? I was under the impression that botting reviews isn't a thing but idk I see really shitty apps with really good reviews somehow

@umairdotdev but it also makes users uninstall and 1* review really fast

@bas_fijneman 32 going on 33 next week. 3 failed products (wow I never actually acknowledged that to myself), fourth hopefully successfully one already out in the world. Would like to have a 9-5 and move back to the UK and have a product that does £1k MRR on the side. Cheers!

@jesse_vermeulen @outpacestudios Nothing wrong with a listing like this there's no reason for all the hate. It's the type of role I'd be looking for myself once I get some more full-stack end-to-end experience. I'd be happy to see more roles like this opening up in the future.

This is insane, but not surprising to me at all. It’s EXACTLY why we take privacy and security so seriously. It’s always an afterthought for people until something insane like this happens. Prayer apps are critical infrastructure for Muslims. Building and maintaining them at a high level is essential to avoid vulnerabilities like this. It also puts all the grifters looking to build in the space just for money into perspective. How many apps, many of which are also vibe-coded, are prioritising security and privacy when building their apps? How many of them already have a tonne of exploits? How many of them would sell data for some money? How many of them would sell their app to a bad actor (knowingly or not) just to make a quick exit? You cannot cut corners. We cannot allow Qu’ran and prayer apps to be owned or built by anyone. If your priority is not building right by the Muslim community first and foremost then stay OUT of this space. We have to safeguard our technology.

i don't mind the whole "building xyz app in a week!" trend but I think it's misleading a lot of people unless you're in the top 1% then people probably aren't gonna use your sloppy one-prompt mvp app anyway so please guys take more time and put more love into building your apps and im sure users will come to appreciate that too 🥹🥹🥹

open sourcing our weekly menu to lose 30 lbs (800 calorie deficit for me) lunch will be for me high protein oatmeal bowls w/ banana (may change will see be experimenting) eating same lunch every day, breakfast = coffee and green tea lunch for my partner will likely be cottage cheese + pesto english muffins alongside tracking calories is doing daily exercise. walks with partner and gym 5 days a week in morning (bike for cardio) (+ strength training) - to not lose all my muscle will also try to find a higher protein breakfast option in time (or just add a scoop of protein powder into my oatmeal and hate my life)

@iron_redux I'm a SWE and anti-intellectualism is utterly rampant in this field. It's like some kind of cognitive bias where they think they're smart because they can program so they don't need to learn anything else and also look down on anyone who does anything else besides programming.

@asabbas98 Thanks I agree completely. It's about what people do behind closed doors that matters most and at the end of the day Allah's always watching. Unfortunately it's definitely a reoccurring trend nowadays too as you said with this whole outward piety thing. We need to do better.

Someone wanted to invite a friend to something and was vouching for them and one of his points to me (to provide evidence) was this Any other time in the Ummah it would be a big statement ... these days sadly ... from what I've seen ... it unfortunately is not enough on its own to back it up. Upset that we're at this point. When being outwardly pious doesn't reflect inner piety anymore.
